NCAA Tournament for Iowa in 2013?

Keep clinging to those 2 victories last season. Fran parlayed that into a 7-year extension so maybe you're taking your cues from the head coach.

Who gives a rip that you beat us twice?!? We made the tournament (the Big Boys tournament not the NIT) you didn't. You finished lower division in the Big Ten. Few victories, every other measurable you want to think of we were better, have been better, will be better, etc etc etc.

You're Iowa. About the only thing you guys have in common with successful basketball programs is that you play your games on 10' baskets.

Maybe if you beat us twice next year and go to the NIT Fran will get a lifetime contract? Lock him up for good?:):):)

Iowa is better in every measurable category. Next.

Active....I'm not really sure what the obsession is with our board, but you seem to like it over here....The two wins against Wisci last year is proof that this program is headed in the right direction....We have waited a long time for a coach and players to step in and start getting the job done, and, for some reason I feel that makes you and your Wisconsin team a little nervous.

2 directions we can go with this,

1 - for the past 10 years we were seeing what it is like to be Wisconsin basketball.

2- If Iowa has so little in common with successful basketball programs, Wisconsin has nothing in common.

AB is probably taking the nasty beating by the Hawks worse than anyone in America.....

I am starting to wish we hadn't spanked them because of the mental deterioration he is experiencing now.....

Fran has many in the B1G on edge. I say 70%. Hawks Like us were Born to Run.

Like Daniel in the lions den, the Big Ten is taking notice and not automatically considering the Hawks a win any longer, and it will get worse for them as time goes on....

The handwriting is on the wall, and fear is slowly rotting the minds of the embittered.....

It's the summer and I'm bored since I'm not a baseball fan. My wife is a Iowa alum so I have many Hawkeye relatives.

I doubt many fans nationally or even within the BIG ten know who coaches Iowa. Fran McCaffery is not a household name nor do I anticipate after another NIT bid that he will be anytime soon.

A coach like Tom Crean is someone that gets the opposing fans and coaches in the BIG ten nervous. He came in and in 3 years totally transformed Indiana. Granted Indiana is a blue blood program and most any coach is going to find it easy to recruit there. Nonetheless Crean totally took Indiana from a bottom dweller to making Assembly Hall a place opposing teams need to worry about. Fran McCaffery hasn't done anything like that and personally I don't see that happening this year either.

Bo Ryan didn't need 3-4 years to get Wisconsin really good. He won BIG titles his 1st two seasons with less coming back his 1st season than Iowa's ever had. We graduated our entire starting 5 when Bo Ryan came in and we were expected to finish 10th. That's why I laugh at the blind optimism on this board. There is no evidence to support it.

Crean and Beilien immediately changed Michigan and Indiana around. Iowa? Just don't see it.

Our program is so great that I troll a team who's finished in the bottom half of the conference for like 6 years in a row. So ******* weird.

LOL Crean did immediately change Indiana, they went from being an NCAA team to the worst program in the B10 for two years.

We own Indiana and Crean, having beaten them 5 out of the past 6 games.....

I know that he is extremely nervous about playing the Hawks as the Badgers will be, having the explosive memories firmly implanted in their skulls of the two beatdowns, actually Bodyslams they experienced last season. Would have loved to see the bitter disappointment in the locker room after the tragic losses to the Hawks.....

:D

ab needs to realize the two wins that he says are our super bowls should scare wisky. i am not saying iowa will do the same to them this yr but remember wisky is a team that focuses on controlling and slowing tempo. a team getting them to play away from their style once isnt something to worry about as every team loses and/or has an off game or 2 or more throughout the season. but you would think that after having it happen once they would adjust as to make iowa beat them at their game and they didnt. i dont expect iowa to sweep them again but i do expect a split and i expect iowa to dictate tempo in 1 of those games. wisky is solid and will stay solid while bo is there...but they wont stay in the top 4 every yr from now on as b1g is becoming a much tougher top to bottom conference the last few yrs.

LOL I can’t tell if this is a serious post. Crean is 52-73 and missed the NCAA’s his first 3 years with the Hoosiers...

Yeah and he turned it around in a big way. Indiana probably has the most talent in the BIG right now and he did it in 4 years. They are preseason #1. I don't think Crean is a good teacher/coach but he's certainly proved that he is a good recruiter.

Iowa has ZERO chance of being a preseason #1 in the next 2 years. They are going to be fighting like hell just to make the NCAA next year.

Again your logic is so tragically flawed. Who cares that Iowa beat Indiana last year?!? By every important measure, Indiana was a better team and program than Iowa last season and will be this upcoming season. It isn't even close. Do you know how ridiculous you make hawk fans sound? You beat Indiana at Carver, who cares!!!! They had a bad night and besides, who can get up mentally to play Iowa?!?

Whatever! Your Grinchfaced coach can suck you azz out of here.

What does beating crean's team of ranked recruits 5 out of the past 6 games mean.....

How about the winning streak against the badgers, hurts doesn't it.....

The pain is unbearable for you.....

This makes me very happy.....

Keep it up.....

Your best friend, Jack.....
