Nate Kaeding chimes in and defends his coach

Thrive on negativity or hate losing? Kirk has a lot of you happy with average because he shows you below average.

i have NEVER said I am happy with average, neither have most. see signature. Now...definition of average is in eye of beholder. I am NOT happy with losses to CMU....

We just lost to CMU and now players running to do write ups for KF, Interesting.. Things must be worst than I thought..

1. NK is a gifted writer. He is a well spoken, educated guy who appears to be a family man and business man. From that perspective, our football team has done some tremendous good because his time spent in football impacted his education, priorities and life experiences.

2. It's refreshing to hear a player talk about the mental hurdles of the game.

3. He must know things are bad in HawkeyeNation that he felt he needed to publically support Ferentz.

You're right...I think they won that one when Bo made a dumb face, jumped up and down like a 4 year old who just heard the word "no" and then yelled at his brother the ref...

Do you want to talk about how pumped the Minnesota coach was the last two years? He even has health problems. Or Northwestern. Who do you want to talk about? All these coaches can get their players pumped to play Iowa. Whats wrong with Kirk?

I just had to tell you guys. Kirks a great guy, he knows what hes doing. Nothing bad is happening or going to happen.

Well...I'd like to know how in the hell the Hawks won so many games in the past if only the pumped up kicks win the race...

Was Kirk on air guitar then?

This isn't the "Blindside," people. KF preaches about composure and not getting too high or low about things, both on the field, and off the field. His players, for the most part, take on this same mindset. He doesn't need to be kicking, screaming, and running out on the field throwing tantrums to prove to his players that he has their back. He will never change. Like it or lump it. Understand it and move on. Roadhouse. :D

I believe the word I'm looking for is...
