Multiple Coaches Leaving the Program

We'll be the wurst team in the big ten

Mmmm.

Meat.

i really don't know what some of the folks on here want. They complain when nothing changes and they complain when changes are made............Some folks just always complain. I think at least some changes are being made and I hope since nothing has been said yet that some of the folks coming have ties to the Patriots or Falcons (both team that Brian has spent time with).

As another poster said, Ferentz wouldn't have kept all these guys around this long to suddenly decide they're not meeting expectations. Sometimes employees leave an organization when they're not being developed or do not see a positive future for the organization and their own fortunes. If it is true that many are leaving at once, is not likely a housecleaning but an abandonment of a sinking ship.

If they leave there are a whole bunch of good position coaches out there who would want to come to Iowa. The head coach has a good contract for at least 4 more years (no buyout unless we are terrible).

I just hope KF has enough contacts and other coaches to recommend the really hungry and good coaches.

Please post more.

Right, because there are so many high-paying asst coaching gigs available at BCS schools, with coaches begging to hire these guys

I would guess that Norm's game plans and halftime adjustments along with Norm and KFs player development covered up for a lot of shortcomings with the rest of the staff. Now that Norm is gone, I'm sure KF figured out he needed better recruiters as he couldn't rely on Norm anymore. I'm still convinced KF is great at player development but needs help in game plans and recruiting.

The best leaders realize their short comings and bring in people that can make the organization stronger. Let's hope that is what is going on here.
