Anyone else find it troubling that the search turned up another dead 20 something female and that is just a blurb in this story? Maybe it’s a separate story, but seems like a big deal.

I admit that having lived in Iowa most of my life, my knowledge of pig farms and pig farmers comes exclusively from Brad Pitt movies.

I always think of the scene in "Hannibal" where Dr Lecter drugged that rich dude and had the hogs eat him alive.

Looks like the FBI is going to talk to that pig farmer a second time, plus he is refusing to take a lie detector test.

Polygraphs are inadmissible in court for a reason. They're not reliable and vulnerable to subjective interpretation by the examiner. Serial liars can beat them and people who are nervous about other things can show false positives. I was required to take one for a pre-employment screen and it gave "indications of deception" on something I was being completely truthful about. I just didn't like the line of questioning.

I would never take one of those tests. Took one once. I reacted to a question that was so shocking that I reacted. It was for a job back in the day. Then I didn't react to a question and they thought I as lying because of no reaction. Go figure. They said it was no big deal, but said I was the only person who didn't react.

Lie detector for a job? Yikes

any kind of gig working for law enforcement requires the poly, which is ridiculous IMO. 911 dispatchers have to pass one - and can't have used any sort of illegal drug in the last 5 years. So, that means, if you took someone else prescription or anything, like a Xanax or even a Heart Burn pill, because it was not yours you'd likely fail their test and not get the gig.

What was the question, bruh?

Pigs/Hogs are omnivores they eat everything. I guess so are humans, but you could literally feed anything to a pig/hog.

It is now being reported that a person who lives in that rural area near Brooklyn, IA said they saw a black SUV that kept circling between 11:30pm - 1am around the night Mollie vanished. There was no signs of forced entry to the boyfriends house, and the two dogs she was watching were found locked in a room they believe Mollie put them in before she went jogging. The boyfriend said one of the dogs is large (I think it had a pitbull mix to it) and would have protected her if she was being attacked. Her cellphone, earbuds, arm band and fitbit watch are all missing, which is a main reason they think she was abducted while jogging. This whole black SUV could change everything. If it came through Brooklyn, you'd think a camera on a convenience store would catch it.

The reward is now $260,000

If I smoke pot. And I never have.

but so what if you had I guess is what I wonder. Some how in law enforcement (i don't know what you were interviewed for) if you've ever done anything illegal, like drink under age or smoked a j - you are pretty much forever flawed and unfit to work for them. That rubbed me the wrong way once.

The black SUV rumor has been explained. Evidently a reported took the story and ran with it and had it incorrect.

The idiocy of that policy is that it leaves many police forces with short guys who got pushed into a lot of lockers during high school as cops. They then take out their rage on the general public.

Thanks for that info, where did you hear this? I have not seen anything thing retracted on the black SUV. I think her dad is really going into denial. He now thinks that Mollie willingly got into a vehicle with someone she knew who might be in trouble. He thinks she took off with this person to help them. Sounds pretty far fetched to me.

It was Law Enforcement and I was 21 and weighed 140 pounds. Didn't say i was perfect. I hadn't smoked pot. They said it didn't matter, but they noted a strong reaction.

I don't drink or smoke, but probably not for the reasons you think I don't. I grew up around it and I'll leave it at that. Having been around law enforcement, many officers really shouldn't be doing what they are doing. They ended up skipping over 1 and 2 and filled the vacancies with experienced officers. Funny, the Chief of Police was busted by one of his officers shortly after for OWI. Not sure how that ended up.

My brother worked for the FBI where he took a 2 year straight 24 months program in order to administer lie detector tests. He stated most people take a 30-60 days course to get licensed to administer lie detector tests and are horrible with results not being valid.
