And I'm not a Daddy Ferentz hater. I don't think there's a better available option right now.

I am however a Brain Ferentz "hater" in the sense that he's not qualified to be a head coach, and he will soon be in charge of my favorite sports team strictly because his dad wan'ts him to take over the family business.

We can agree that the hiring of Brian as the next head coach wouldn't be the best move. Kirk thinking he can work it so his son is his successor has way too much entitlement in it.

Give me the over. Strictly on how the schedule sets up. My logic falls in line with Huckfinn. The caveat being the Iowa St. game. That game will be a dogfight, win it and the schedule sets up nice after that.

I hate that the Iowa St. game has become the litmus test on how the Iowa season will play out, but if they lose that, we are looking at a 6 or 7 win season.

We should win or have won 75% of the ISU games since 2001 and almost had them KF's first two years.

I thought ISU lost a ton of starters, what is with all the sweating this game?

KF averages 7.73 wins overall and 4.46 wins in B1G play. Pretty much what you'd expect from an average coach.

To put this into perspective, if you do the same thing for Mark Dantonio, Pat Fitzgerald, Wisky since Alvarez retired, and Nebraska since Osborne retired:

Dantonio averages 9.42 wins overall and 5.71 wins in B1G play.

Fitz averages 7.25 wins overall and 4 wins in B1G play.

Wisky averages 10.25 wins overall and 6.12 wins in B1G play.

Nebby averages 8.68 wins overall.

Facts suck. Now what am I supposed to do? ...looks down, sinks hands into pockets, slumps shoulders, kicks grass...

My money is saying under. I already went through wins and loses. My preliminary out look was not good. I am really hoping we make great strides in the off season because we need to. I think the Clown game will the make or break game for the rest of the season. All of the teams that we play in conference should be much improved. (Except Illinois). Had we not lost all three linebackers and our best DB I would not be as worried. Offenses will certainly try to get our young LB core out of position and that’s without their own mistakes.
