LeBron

Yes, but there are probably more Heat haters than Celtic fans anyways so that's not necessarily unbiased.

Good point. Just seems like all the people that are backing the Heat are jumping to the conclustion that everybody who is ripping on the refs is a Celtic fan. Its giving me a bad name.....:D

Oh I assume the exact opposite. I really can't remember a team in recent memory more hated than the Miami Heat.

Agreed. The Celtics are a team full of old guys who can't get to the rim and ***** at the ref all the time and one young guy who has spent the vast majority of 4th quarters in his career trying not to go to the free throw line. The Heat have two guys who are in the prime of their careers and great at attacking. Hmmm, I wonder which team is going to shoot more free throws.

Bob Ryan didn't have a problem with the officiation, I'll take his opinion over that of some whiny Celtic fans.

Pierce showed he can still get to the rim Wednesday night, Rondo can obviously get to the bucket. Even when Allen has been 100% his game was never to get to the rim and KG will post guys up once in a while, but he is more likely to shoot going away from the basket than attack it.

Each team has 2 guys that constantly try and attack the hoop, Pierce/Rondo and Wade/LeBron. Chalmers, Miller, Battier, Haslem, Turiaf, Anthony, etc are by no means aggressive in going to the hoop. And Wade hasnt even really attacked the basket that often this series, he has been more contempt to hang out on the perimiter, with the exception of a few instances.

There hasn't been one. This is the reason I am rooting for the Heat to win about 10 straight rings. The hate that came out of "The decision" and a pep rally is so ridiculous it's insane. You've got a group of people who ride Jordan's jock despite the fact that he is a complete scumbag and berated his teammates. These are the same people that get all over Bron, who is never in trouble, and did "the decision" and brought in hundreds of thousands of dollars for the Boys and Girls Club. I haven't been an NBA fan for years. The hatred for the Heat has brought me back out of spite.

yup.

Assuming it's the Heat out of the east. I don't see how they match up against Parker or Westbrook, especially Parker. The Spurs would give them all sorts of trouble.

The Spurs would definately be the harder matchup for the Heat. I actually like the Heat against the Thunder if Bosh is back. The key is getting Ibaka away from the basket on defense and Bosh does that. They aren't beating either West team with Turiaf/Anthony playing significant minutes though.

Defensively Miami should put Bosh on Ibaka, Battier on Durant, James on Harden, and have Chalmers and Wade rotate on Westbrook/Sefelosha.

Agreed, unfortunately I think it'll be San Antonio out of the West.

So do I. Frankly, the Heat will need some luck to beat the Spurs. A tweaked ankle for Manu, their 3 point specialists go ice cold for a couple games (or the Heat's shooters get red hot for a couple games), etc.

I hated Jordan and I cant stand LeBron.

Bob Ryan has a great opinion about most things sports. But when I watch him on Around The Horn, something about him just makes me want to punch him in the face.

How do you feel about Bird and his at least 1 daughter that he had nothing to do with her entire life? Hate him too?

I really could not give 2 sh1ts what professional athletes do or dont do in their personal lives. I hated Jordan as a basketball player and cant stand Lebron as a basketball player. What they do off the court has nothing to do with my opinion of them as a pro athlete, which is all I know them as.

I loved Larry Bird as a basketball player, did not know him as a person.

Its like you think you know LeBron personally because of the huge boner you have for him. He isnt going to come take care of it for you Travis, settle down.

Oh so now it's as a bball player. Not to do with "the decision" or the 5,6 ,7 rings stuff. You crack me up. How do you remember what your name is throughout the day?

How can you dislike a player that can do the things LeBron can do. It's ridiculous.

So your hatred for Lebron has only to do with his performance on a basketball court? I'm sorry but I find that really hard to believe.

I didn't like the way he handled "the decision", I appreciate how he raised money for charity, but I def think he should have at least had the maturity to tell the Cavs his decision before announcing it to the world.

However, on the basketball court Lebron is by far the most exciting player to watch in the NBA. He hardly ever runs his mouth unless someone else starts it, he always handles confrontation in a professional manner, and compared to most NBA players he doesn't complain to the refs that much. I don't get how you'd hate him simply because of his performance on the court. Heck, it was obvious to everyone that Granger was trying to get Lebron to react to hard fouls in order to get him suspended. What does Lebron do? He turns the other way and handles his business.

He laughed in section136's boy, KG's face the other night. Maybe that's why he hates him.

I saw that. One thing that does annoy me is that he does always seem to walk away from stuff. I'd like to see him just own a dude and run his mouth sometimes. I think when you talk it forces you to back it up even more. I'm not talking being a loudmouth who never shuts up like KG. But once in a while is a good thing IMO.

I agree Travis, it would be nice to see him own someone. If Granger pulled the same crap during the regular season I wonder how Lebron would have reacted. I wouldn't want to see him do it during the playoffs though because these last couple rounds of basketball would be even harder to watch without him on the court.

Haha, good stuff.

I never said I didnt care for Lebron because of how he performs on the court or because of what he can do as a basketball player. He is the most talented player in the world, I have no problem admitting that. I just dont like him and hope he never wins a ring. Im sure there are players you all cant stand and do not want to see succeed.

Kudos to you guys for liking him, you wont hear me say he isnt a hell of a player because I know he is. Doesnt mean everybody has to root for him.
