This is fair. The word "hater" gets tossed around waaay too much. I actually think Lebron is a smart dude and he will probably win a couple rings. I just won't have the pom poms out rooting for him. "The decision" and "pep rally" was so poorly handled it has Dwight Howard scared to make a decision. He wants to be a global icon this is the scrutiny that comes along with it.
I'm guilty of using the term "hater" multiple times in this thread. I think it's a fair term to use in regards to Lebron. I don't think you're a hater because I understand why his decision upset you and other people. You have a reason why you don't like him. Like I said earlier in the thread, I didn't like the way he handled it either. However, I also have found out that many people who say they hate Lebron because of "the decision" didn't even realize that his whole publicity stunt was also a huge charitable donation (more $ than most of us will ever make in our lives).
Lebron is actually a pretty humble guy who really just wants to be liked. He wants everyone to like him. I think the reaction he received because of his decision really shook him to the core. I think it messed with his confidence and that was pretty evident last year. Seems like the Heat are playing with more intensity this year. They're certainly playing better as a team.
I guess I just feel like a lot of people hate him for no reason other than the fact that he's the best player in the NBA. That title alone comes with a lot of baggage. When you compare the person that Lebron is both on and off the court to a lot of other stars in the league, I have no idea why people have so much hate for him. Therefore, I believe a lot of people hate him simply because of his talent and exposure. Hence the term: hater.
