This is where I'm at. It is like all reasoned thought is gone from people.
I guess you haven't read thru the thread. And a 10-second google search would have given you plenty of info and examples of run game coordinators.
I am probably as disappointed with KF as everyone else is. But I don't understand the automatic, visceral responses of criticizing every KF move or comment without at least putting some thought into it.
Calling the negative reactions visceral assumes that these adjustments are going to work. Their intent, of course, was divulged beyond becoming more efficient; which also wasn't defined. The intellect has equal chance to be on the negative or positive, at this point. But, if you don't think this has to do with getting BF a "coordinator" title, I believe you've missed the mark. How are these adjustments going to help our #1 problem in the program, recruiting?

Run game coordinators are common titles. They are usually occupied by OLine coaches.
What do they do...title is pretty descriptive... and this thread reveals the blocking schemes at the D1 level are clearly above the comprehension of many HN posters.
I wouldn't go that far. I seem to recall Ricky Williams running the ball very, very well for GD at Texas. Our current problem is either A. No Ricky Williams type talent (duh). B. GD didn't run his offense out of a zone blocking scheme. or C. A combination of both A and B.Run game coordinator is a political statement. It means running is gonna be so important in next season's offense a coordinator is needed. And GD doesn't have a handle on the primacy of running the ball.
CJ (or whoever is willing) will hand off a lot.
You are so far down the "visceral" rabbit hole, you can't even see it. You may not agree with his moves, but to say he has "no reason" for them is just once again a "visceral" reaction. Because if you honestly think that KF has put NO REASONED THOUGHT into this, it isn't even worth having this debate, as no reason or logic will sway your "visceral" reaction to this.

Actually, our tight end production literally was ground to a halt after Hernandez came aboard. Do you not remember we had a string of putting TEs in the NFL almost every year, and utilizing them to the fullest broken a couple of years ago? That coincides with Hernandez joining the staff. Just cause a coach has a bro in the NFL does not make him a good coach. Similarly, just cause a guy has a dad who is the head coach does not make him a good coach.
What in the hell does Run Game Coordinator mean anyway? Do any other teams in all of college football have person on staff with this title? Has KF been sniffing still wet paint in the new football facility? He has to have to come up with a title like this.
This program has gone beyond joke status. I'm sure Meyer, Harbaugh and Dantonio are sitting in their office laughing their butts off at these so called coaching adjustments.
The only regrets they have is they don't get to play Iowa next year.
Of the coaches you mentioned, all of them have some variation on Run Game Coordinator on their staff. For Michigan, Jed Fisch is a Passing Game Coordinator and their Offensive Coordinator is Sanford Robertson. For Michigan State, Jim Bollman and Dave Warner are Co-Offensive Coordinator and I'd be willing to bet that Warner, the running backs coach, is the Run Game Coordinator. For Ohio State, Ed Warinner is the Offensive Coordinator and offensive line coach while Tim Beck is the Co-Offensive Coordinator and quarterbacks coach; I'd guess that Warinner is the Run Game Coordinator.
While Meyer, Harbaugh and Dantonio may be "laughing their butts off" it isn't because of a title that you've never heard of as they currently use such titles.
So now that we have a "run game coordinator" is there a chance we can get a "pass game coordinator" and leave our current OC with water coordinator?
I do not want Barta making any more decisions.
