I don't know the extent of what Brian and Wallace have done...
..I can tell you it doesn't rise to legal standards for termination.
So you don’t know what they did outside what you read...

But you do know what they’ve done doesn’t rise to the legal standards of termination?

You just keep getting richer by the minute.

Lesson #1, I’ve you’ve ever been involved with or studied employment law, there are no “legal standards of termination” unless the person getting fired got fired because of a legally defined discriminatory reason as a member of a protected class.” That is a fact. It’s not disputable. Iowa is an at will state, and they could fire Brian because they thought his hair was out of style or he wore a shirt Barta didn’t like or he drove a Ford instead of a Chevy. Any reason they want. You don’t have to take my meager education as gospel, and please don’t. Do some research. You’ll find out for yourself. Firing “for cause” is a separate matter altogether, but that sails down the civil path and would get decided by a mediator, not a law judge. And since he’s a young, white, male with no disabilities, no dice. Your argument in those terms holds no water.

And since you’re bringing up “legal standards of termination,” let’s dig a little deeper into that...

Seth Wallace is accused of posting Jack Kallenberger’s GPA in the position room with the intent being to mock him for it. Several players have corroborated it on Twitter. I’d like to introduce you to FERPA. You can google it and do a whole lot of reading, but I’ll save you some trouble and let you know that if it happened, it’s a crime. Not a “we’d prefer if you didn’t do that,” or a “that wasn’t very nice,” thing...it’s a crime. As in, against the law. As in federal law. If my son goes to college, even if he’s seventeen, even if I’m paying for it out of my own pocket, I don’t get to see his GPA until he fills out paperwork saying I can see it. Seth Wallace committed a crime if he did that. Does that fall under your “legal standards of termination?”

I’d really like to read through your standards, btw, if you’d care to share them. They sound interesting.

Anywhoo, we’re getting away from the main point. And that main point is that you are no more than a JoePa denier. You’ve got a picture in your head of Eagle Scouts and apple pie KF and you can’t bear to think of life without Kirk being a saintly god like Joe Paterno was. You’ve seen him give interviews and that’s all you need. You don’t need to know what he’s like in an office alone with a player holding said player’s future above his head, because you’ve closed your mind and decided that KF is capable of no wrongs. Every single breath he takes is aimed at creating corn fed, yes ma’am, hay bailing American integrity machines, right?

I had the misfortune of meeting a whole bunch of cultish sheep like you when I took a trip to PA in ‘16. People who wouldn’t even give a thought to whether or not their David Koresh guy could make a mistake. It’s absołutely sickening that there might have been folks like you on a jury had Paterno not croaked, who had made up their minds with zero facts and innocent livelihoods on the line. I don’t know if you’re a jeebus guy or not, but doesn’t your book tell you about how sometimes dogs wear sheep’s jackets? Did you skip that part because you might be afraid that you got fooled?

Just so you know, this post sounds like someone grasping at straws, almost an “I know you are, but what am I” response. You did an awful lot of deflecting and ignoring the questions I posted.

I suppose I could get on board with saying “old white guy” was racist if older white people didn’t have a huge amount of social advantage over minorities, but I digress. Basically what you’ve done here is no different than the “If black people can say the N word why is it bad for white people,” or “If there’s a Miss Black America, why can’t there be a Miss White America?” You. Just. Don’t. Get. It. I can’t help you understand because you just don’t process it from the other view. You were born, raised, and indoctrinated into the NW Iowa WASP culture and you’re wired that way. I don’t think you’re a bad person at all but I don’t think you’ll understand what’s being said until you abandon that way of thinking and look at things from the other perspective—without your idea of what “god” wants clouding your vision.

The very concept of racism implies that there’s a form of dominance over one group by another group. Please, PLEASE tell me where a black 19 year old man has any dominance over 55-65 year old millionaire white coaches. Good grief...

Ageism....

You’ve realized your argument is full of holes so you decided to throw out a last hurrah shot across the bow with that one. Ageism is (like racism) a concept that implies one group’s unfair dominance over another group. To give you some education, ageism (as defined by law and by academia, not by Fryowa) would be if I didn’t hire a 60 year old, well-qualified, physically and mentally-able person for a job because of his age and instead hired a less-qualified, less able person because he or she was younger. That’s the absolute, textbook definition of ageism. When I say “old” white guy, I’m IMPLYING THE EXACT OPPOSITE OF AGEISM.” I’m saying the guy has the advantage because he’s older and white and rich and powerful in the state of Iowa.

So...now that we’ve worked out that racism and ageism don’t apply definitionally in this situation (if they do, please spell it out for me), would you please be kind enough to answer the questions I asked in my reply to your post about why you would want to root for a team that doesn’t want you as a fan? There are other good questions in that post too, but let’s start with that one and take them one at a time....
So the entire team wouldn't want me as a fan, or just those who use social media to complain about their plight, and tell me how I should think and live? What about the players who are too afraid to speak up in support of Coach Doyle, etc., knowing they would be lynched if they did? Are you concerned about them?

I know it kills you Trumpublicans to see black people wanting equality and fair treatment but don't let it ruin your interest in college football!
That’s your opinion, it’s just wrong though. Of course that’s just my opinion. People need to quit looking at Trump supporters as racist because it Just isn’t true.

I am not sure where all of your energy is coming from? What is your end-state? Do you want me to think like you? It seems quite odd and misdirected. You might be better served out protesting or something.

Oh, I see, you said you wanted to "give me some education." I don't recall asking for the instruction. Did you appoint yourself?

Not at all. I want you to think however makes sense to you. But in the context of a forum, you posted your viewpoints. I posted mine in response showing you how they make no logical sense. And instead of engaging in debate you threw up a JV response about ageism etc. Which reeks of last-ditch-effort, btw. You either saw that those arguments made logical sense and were angrily grasping at straws, or you unintelligently missed the point. I don’t think you’re unintelligent.

If I didn’t make sense in my original questions to you, please tell me how?

Why try to make a team of players fit the revkev73 mold when they’ve said they don’t believe in it? And if it’s beyond your boundaries of what’s acceptable why not move along to another team or another hobby? It’s not going to change no matter how much you or I talk about it in HN. This is here to stay.

You’ve asked me what my end game is, what’s your end game?! Are you going to scream it from the rooftops until you lose your voice? These players aren’t going to change what they’re saying. When they say you’re either with them or against them, regardless of whether you agree or not it isn’t going back to old Iowa football. You aren’t going to get these kids to accept your WASP views, man. I don’t see why you can’t just move on to some other team. Or even better support the one we have now.

You knew they wouldn't....

Kirk still seems nervous as a whore in church. He better hope Doyle doesn't take the, "If I go down you're going with me" approach because those dudes were thick as thieves.
That foul mouthed racist blackmailing his former employer?

That's absolutely in play. Chris has the key to every one of Kirk's skeleton closets.
