Iowa v. Pitt

I predict a game similar to the previous 3. Several hours of hair tearing out, predictable football that comes down to the last couple of possessions. The game will end and one team will realize they’ve won. Probably Pitt.

When your very lucky to be 2-1 and should probably be 0-3 against UNI-Ball State-ISU than it's going to be a very long year. If Iowa plays like they have these last 3 weeks we finish at best with 3 maybe 4 wins.

If the offense plays and operates like it did yesterday. I don't think we win another game, not one. The defense is decent but not good enough to make up for predictable offense that either can't or won't use its playmakers.

I agree with this prediction. Our D will either get a turnover late and we'll win or they won't get a turnover and we'll lose.

Thank God-the grass still needs to be mowed

I think we all know what's gonna happen. The question now is................does anyone care? I don't

Status quo, they will probably lose. If they re-evaluate what they are doing on offense and make some changes they have a good shot at winning.

Pitt has a TERRIBLE secondary but I don't have any faith in Iowa's passing "attack" with Greg Davis and Jake Rudock at the helm.

I am now like a team rooting for losses for draft position. This team going 7-5 or 6-6 will do nothing other than extend the futility. the money men need to separate from Kirk ferentz.
The big $$$ boosters abandoning Kirk, I've been waiting for that other shoe to drop for years now. Maybe a 3-4 win season is what will finally do that. He's lost the fan base, that I know for certain.

I love college football and I love Iowa City and Iowa football, I'm sure I will choose to watch this Sat, but if I need to miss the game for any reason, I doubt I would miss much (barring the undoubtful playing of CJB, Daniels, powell, or others), and wouldn't be disappointed for missing it. The excitement and energy has been zapped, there are other more fun games to watch on Saturday...and fortunately, there too is always Sunday. This story is old.

I'll pick Iowa to win 31-21.

How in the world will Iowa score 21? edit: 21 much less 31 ! You do realize that is 3 scoring drives? you expect the D to score those points?

I get what you are saying, but I just can't have that mindset. I would hope Barta would grow a pair and tell KF this is unacceptable and give him some sort of ultimatum.

The smart thing to do would be attack their secondary but of course we won't. We will throw 3 and 4 yard passes instead of throwing downfield.

All this pessimism gets old fast, this team is 1 play away from being undefeated. There is no reason at that they can't win, and keep winning. They have a lot of players back from a team that won a lot of games last year, and some very good new players. If you can't cheer for them too win, I will just have to cheer louder to make up for you all.

this team is 2 plays away from being winless. And all games have been at home. Against less than stellar opposition.

Exactly. This team is not anywhere near road ready.

Pitt rolls 35-14 with points for iowa only coming in garbage time.

Your optimism gets old, really old. I have never seen anyone see so much out of nothing. Iowa barely won 2 out of the 3 easiest games on their soft schedule and lost to the 3rd easiest game. How the **** are you so oblivious to that fact? Not to mention the team almost looks worse right now than they did against UNI.
