Iowa v. Pitt

Fans need to keep some perspective on things too. Look at all the upsets across the country. It's not just Iowa. If you thought Iowa had the talent to steam rol people this year then you weren't living in reality. This is their best WR group in awhile but I don't see a receiver on the level of DJK or McNutt on the roster. Most I them probably wouldn't be playing on other big ten teams. I don't think any of the running backs would be starting.on other big ten teams. And the Oline has not performed up to par.

Pitt running game >> Iowa running game....But Pitt can't throw a lick. Chryst is just as familiar with Iowa's scheme as Paw Whoads. This game is going to be ugly and Pitt definitely has a kicking advantage. Their kicker is going to drill every field goal while Iowa tries to figure out which kicker to run on the field. This game is going to be a low scoring slug fest that can go either way. It will be a TD game either way -- something around 24-17. Flip a coin on who wins. More than likely Pitt wins since their running game is much better at this point in the season. Iowa will dink and dunk on their back seven to keep it close.

Can they fix their issues, maybe, but probably not.

This is what makes me so upset this season - they could fix all of our problems with a 20 yd pass every 10 plays -- take 6 home run shots a game. 6 out of 60 plays is what the coaches are arguing against. It is freaking madness. That and stop running the stretch with a guy who is slower than the lineman.

If that's true, then our coaches really need to start trying a little harder on the recruiting trail when it comes to the skill positions.

Regarding the upsets, it seems to happen to Iowa a LOT more than other programs:

Couldn't agree more...In addition, stop throwing the screen/swing pass to Bullock every time on third down. The D knows it is coming every time

I'm going out on a limb and predict we win by 10. It's what the Hawks do after embarrassing losses.
