Iowa State Lost

You are the one crying like a little girl! Just put me on ignore I could literally care less what you have to say or if you read my posts. Nothing worse than the message board police my goodness. It is hawkeye/cyclone banter get over yourself.

sure sounds like someone is crying. And you obviously do care what I have to say or you wouldn't be so upset. I ain't going anywhere sport, you don't like it, well, you could put me on ignore. Gonna keep calling you out on your troll.

There is something worse than message board police, I let you guess what it is.

You are fun.

Both Iowa and ISU are currently 4th in their conference. Why don't you back your squad let's go $50 if either of the two teams wins their respective conference tournament. If neither win the thing it is a push. Deal? Seems like a fair wager like I said both teams are currently 4th.

Iowa got bounced in the 1st round in last years B1G tournament, and the 1st round of the NCAA tournament. I said that Iowa was better, so yeah I will bet they go further in both tournaments this year. Name the amount, $50, $100, $1000, whatever you want.

You claimed ISU was better this year. So if they are they should go deeper in the Big12 tournament (win it again) and NCAA tournament (past the sweet 16). If ISU wins the Big12 again I'll pay you whatever we bet, and if they go deeper than the Sweet 16 once again I'll pay whatever we bet (should be easy as you say they are a final 4 team).

If you team is better than last year, then sack up and put your money where you mouth is. I'm willing to bet that Iowa is better than last year, why aren't you? You see at no point was I ever claiming that Iowa was a final 4 team (like you claim about ISU). At no point was I saying Iowa was better than ISU. I simply said Iowa was better than last year and ISU wasn't as good as last year, so that is what we should bet on since you so vocally disagreed with me. Welp, put your money where you mouth is.....

I actually can't believe I'm giving you such favorable terms, since ISU is better and these were things they easily achieved last year, seeing as how ISU didn't have Georges in the NCAA and would have obviously been in the final 4 last year with him.

^tavern clone. Thought they were a myth.

Maybe this guy can re construct the mythical tavern Clown as well?

And I do think this team has more overall talent and a better chance to make a Final Four run. My personal opinion don't care what you think to be honest. Won't take us winning th e Big 12 tourny to change my mind. Big 12 is ridiculously deep literally wouldn't surprise me if 1 of 7 teams won the thing.

Big 12 is vastly over rated. (very similar to football this year) The Big 12 was allegedly tough in football and got their *** handed to them in the bowl games.

The Big 12 should get no more than 5 teams in the NCAA. Texas and Oklahoma State have both tanked.

The Big 12 is only 4-4 against the Big 10 who is supposedly down this year.

You say 7 teams have a chance to win the conference tournament, yet the league sucks so badly that no other team has won the regular season title except Kansas for 12 years! How pathetic is that??

If you could care less why are you responding to him. I think what you say and what you feel are two different things.

Ha you just make crap up you're ridiculous. Where did I ever say they were a final four team? I said I think they are better equipped to make a deeper run. I will go $50 with you onb th e NCAA tournament. Loss in the 1st or 2nd round you win. Sweek 16 is a push. Elite 8 or further I win. $50 bucks. That is like ordering a couple of pizzas. Surely since the big 12 is so overrated no big 12 team has a shot at the sweet 16 much less elite 8. Bet on?

The conference itself IS over rated. The last time someone other than Kansas was in the final four was in 2004. In that same time frame, Illinois, Michigan State, Ohio State, Michigan and Wisconsin have played in the final 4 from the Big 10.

In the last 20 years, The Big 10 has 15 appearances in the final 4 by 7 different teams. The Big 12 has 8 appearances by 4 different teams. The truth is, there is rarely any depth in the Big 12.

Hell, South Carolina could probably win the Big 12 and they are 4-11 in the SEC. They have a neutral court win over ISU and won by 26 AT Okie State.

I said it, so I will stand behind it. ISU isn't going to be as good this year, and I don't think they will make the elite 8, bet accepted.......IF you also stand behind what you said about Iowa, and will make the same bet with Iowa. $50 says Iowa will make it past the play in game. Fair is fair, you don't get to cherry pick which stupid crap you spew. I'm not Cherry picking, I stand behind both statements I made.

Also love how hawk fans tout their first NBA Draft pick in a decade so highly but yet claim they will be a better team this year without him. Without making any significant roster additions to fill the void. Alrighty then.....makes a lot of sense! Forverever loyal and true huh?

Whereas I said this:

10-3 non con
10-8 conference
1-1 in BTT

21-12 with a 8/9/10 seed

Being upper half in the B1G and having a great non con schedule and RPI will keep them slightly inside the bubble.

HAHA.... Didn't stupid Clown fan tout all day long last year they would win the B1G because they beat Michigan and Iowa. Fast forward a year, and S. Carolina >>>>>>>>>> Big12 HAHAHA

As for ISU, as soon as we realize Monte Morris is the best player on our team and quite possibly the best PG in the country the better.

I'm not going to give an opinion on this post. All I did was Google search the top 2015 college point guards. Some of the lists from January 2015 have Morris in the top 10...not the top 5. But his stock has dropped. He's not in the top 20 on many of the current lists.

What is your 8 man rotation next year at the moment? Better yet who are your 4-5 froncourt players? If you can't admit next year could be rough well you are in for a rude wake up call there buddy.

Dumb question. No one including Hoiberg knows their 8 man rotation for next year today. But the 6 returning players (including 4 starters) currently in the 8 man rotation are likely 6 of the guys in the rotation...assuming no injuries.

Google articles are always right on. For every article you find showing he isn't a top 5 PG I can find one that says he is. When the conversation came up on ESPN gameday Greenberg said Morris was the #1 PG in the country. Link Below. Jay Williams also said he was top 5. I'll trust their basketball knowledge more than yours. I never said he was Derrick rose or Kyrie Irving. PG position doesn't have any superstars this year. Watch the game tonight that is all you're hear from Fran and Musbuger Morris is eite. Deny it all you want but the analysts who do it for a living have him in elite territory.

Whereas I said this:

How is Iowa State not as good as last season or better? They were a #3 seed last year. They are currently projected as a #3 seed this year. They went 11-7 in conference last year. They are currently 10-6 in conference with two games left (they will be favored in both). I for one would argue last years team overachieved. The sentiment around this years team at the moment is we are underachieving. Yet their W/L record is on par. We will see what the future holds for the Big 12 tournament and NCAA tournament. I'd exchange an early exit in the Big 12 tourney for a deeper run in the NCAA tournament we'll see. $50 bet is on though.

As for your Hawks...yes I would have gladly made that bet with you to start the year. I didn't think they would be better and I still don't think they are. My honest opinion is the BIG is down. Other than Wisky I truly would be surprised to see another BIG team in the elite 8. If Wells gets hot he could get Maryland there but that is it. I saw Marble come into Hilton last year and push ISU to the wire. He was a difference maker. There is just no one on Iowa's roster that would worry me in an NCAA game this year. Simply put I would rather face this years Iowa team than last seasons with Marble. Just my opinion but statistically a better year for Iowa

Oh and I forgot...he's not in the top 20 on "many current" lists? Well how about the only list that really matters the 17 finalists for the Bob Cousy award given to the best college PG in the country. Oh it was announced Feb 20th give that one a quick google.

Forever during the UNI game the announcers stated Fred Van Vleet was the best pg in America. I would still take Russle or Trimble from the BIG over Morris. They are freshmen.

Yep I hear Van Fleet, Tyus Jones and Monte Morris talked about the most. Russle isnt even on the Cousy finalist list so that puts you in the minority I suppose.
