I thought it meant grown adults who keep pissing and moaning when something doesn't go their way. People who can't come to grips with reality...maybe I'm wrong.

Reading the Hawk Central article on this I came to the same conclusion that they and probably most people have that Barta will remain in place. Their suggestion that Barta making the late Friday afternoon announcement sends a message seemed right on point. While cleaning house still seems like the best outcome firing Barta never seemed black and white given that he has an expensive contract which would cost even more beyond what they will pay in the settlement.
Have read where Iowa has put in internal controls to prevent something like this from happening again and more will probably come following the investigations. That doesn't change the fact that Barta has demonstrated ineptness as an administrator. We can only hope that he has had a wake up call and will start doing some things differently. I have the overall sense that Iowa just wants to pay these two women, put the upcoming investigations behind them and carry on smartly. Time will tell whether that means BAU or we actually have change in the way they run things.

If this was a 50+ year old straight male the U would've told him to shove it.
If this was the same 50+ year old white male he would have gotten a big fat extension with a ridiculous buyout and a coaching spot for his son.
