It appears Connor deleted his tweet about poor officiating.

At one point last night, their point guard drove the lane and threw up a floater. As the ball was in the air, the official blew the whistle for a foul. The ball bricked off the rim and Weiskamp dunked it, well after the whistle. Next thing you know, Weiskamp is at the line to shoot the and 1. Then the official "figured out" his mistake and made the point guard shoot the and 1. Even tho he missed the shot. It was so stupid.

I really wish Fran would have hired Green's dad. I gotta feeling AJ is going to torch us next season.

In case you haven't noticed it above:

Does offering someone's father a job count under tampering with recruits? All these rules are so confusing. But in all seriousness, he might be a better shooter than JBo with ludicrous high school stats to back it up.

Ya the kid is a legit shooter. His overall athleticism and foot speed would still be under heavy criticism around these parts though. All in all he is pretty close to the same player as Jbo. It is a shame he isn't 2 years younger, because he would be 1 hell of a get for the 2020 cycle.

He's not super athletic or anything, but he's definitely more athletic than JBo and has better lateral quickness.

I just can't get on board with the "definitely" part. I'm not hating on either guy here but they look like the same mold. I can't distinguish a noticeable difference of speed or quickness. I will say this though. AJ is a smoother ball handler that Jbo was or even possibly still is. Slight edge on his first step too.

But athletically are they close? Not sure why im asking you. You think May is so much better of an athlete than Weiskamp that it's not even debatable.
Oh dear lord. I said May was more athletic. If May had the shooting ability and ball handling that Wieskamp has, he'd probably still be in the NBA right now. You literally stated that Wieskamp was a better jumper than May. Have you actually seen Eric May play baskteball at Iowa? serious question.

The call was goaltending as the defender got his hand in the net while the shot was on the rim. That's why the shot counted, not because JW dunked the followup. And how many times have you seen one player go to the line when another was fouled? I used to see it all the time when I played - the better free throw shooter went to the line. JW shoots free throws; most of the rest shoot foul shots.

No shit? I actually asked the guys I was with if that was possible but no one saw it. That makes way more sense. Thanks for clarifying.

It was the "not even debatable" part I was giving you shit for. I have seen him play and I know he was a high flier. It's a real eye opener to me that I can even say Weiskamp may be a better jumper. I would have never believed it 24 hours ago.

The announcers on the streaming broadcast said it was goaltending, that the IC West player got his hand in the net while the shot was on the rim. Melendez was asking for the basket to be counted right away, almost before JW got the followup.
