Infield Fly was the right call.

Anyone else love being right? I know I do.

The ump made a judgement call, doesn't mean it was a good one or the right one (see NFL replacement refs). The ump JUDGED that a split second before the SS whiffed on the fly ball to left that it was an "ordinary play".....rrrriiiiiggghhhhtttt. All other infield fly calls are made my multiple umps, the moment they come off the bat. It was a judgement call, and a bad one at that. The proff is in what actually happened with the play...the ball dropped and all runners were safe.

You are also judging. And you should have went to law school.

I never said anything about an opinion. It's fact. The correct call was made.

Have you ever seen a infield fly called that late before? I haven't, if you could point it out, that would be great. If he would have made the call 5 seconds earlier, I don't have a proble with it. As is, calling it that late is a terrible call. If it is an "ordinary play" you know it right away, not a split second before it hits the ground.

BTW, you a Cards Fan?

I don't think the pitch was even thrown five seconds earlier.

Bahahahahaha it takes that long to determine if its an "ordinary catch". Keep telling yourself that.

I already did.

Dude, I get it....you are a Cards fan. Doesn't mean it was the right call, officials blow calls all the time. It doesn't take til a spilt second before the balls hits the ground to realize that you have and "ordinary play".
The ump blew the judgement call. No harm, no foul as the braves didn't deserve to win anyway

Dude....I get it. You think you are right. That's your judgement. It's wrong.

Like I said, I don't have a problem if he makes the call when the ball is in the air a few seconds before it hits the ground. If you wait til the last split second to make the call, THEN it is the wrong call. But whateves cardinal fan

When it becomes apparent that its an infield fly, you call it. When the SS got under it and called it, the umpire called it. Sorry.
