I think Morehouse nailed it

when he tweeted that Iowa 3.0 is being built all about recruiting.

Kirk's has looked less uptight, more information flowing from Fort Kinnick , new guys in new positions, new facilities, etc. Somewhere KF had an epiphany of sorts. Lets hope it translates into W's.

Does he look less sickly more youthful? I certainly hope...he was nearly on his death bed.

I was sitting near Kirk last night for a few hours and talked with him at length at an I-Club function...he looks in good health to me.

I think that in season, August through November, he ages in dog years tho ;)

Look at this shot from 1999ish

Hopefully Iowa 3.0 is a hell of a lot more successful than Iowa 2.0.

Did Iowa 2.0 include a BCS Bowl win, 11 win season, longest winning streak to start a season in school history, two traditional January bowl wins?

Granted, there were a few too many 500-ish years in there...but it's not like Iowa was 4-8 for five or six years in a row. The 2009 season was perhaps the most exciting year in the program's modern history

Dude this is a low blow. I'd expect more from you. Let's see a picture of you from 1999 and see how well you've aged.

It's not a good sign for an "era" when all your accomplishments come in only one season.

Kirk's appearance hasn't changed all that much in the last 3-4 years. From 2002 to 2008, he looked like he aged about 15 years.

That might be true, but good old JD has aged far worse. Here is a picture of teh Diesel from a few years ago...

It's shocking really.

That's pretty much where I'm sitting. If we're considering Iowa "2.0" to be 2005-2011, then that string of years was pretty much all about 1 big year (2009, and the last handful of games from '08). The rest were of the seasons were either pretty forgettable, or only memorable because they were such a let down (2005, 2006, 2010).

Here's hoping v3.0 really does see recruiting pick up, and meeting (or exceeding) expectations.

Soooo... V1 lasted 4 seasons.... and V2 lasted 7 seasons? That seems to be cherry picking a bit...

The comment was more of a slight joking jab in reference to the previous thread of people speculating on KF's health and well-being.

He definitely looks like he's aged 13 years or so.
