Did Iowa 2.0 include a BCS Bowl win, 11 win season, longest winning streak to start a season in school history, two traditional January bowl wins?
Granted, there were a few too many 500-ish years in there...but it's not like Iowa was 4-8 for five or six years in a row. The 2009 season was perhaps the most exciting year in the program's modern history
Didn't Iowa win a orange bowl about three years ago if I'm not mistaken? Biggest bowl win in 50 years or so. Just sayin....

Kirk's appearance hasn't changed all that much in the last 3-4 years. From 2002 to 2008, he looked like he aged about 15 years.

That might be true, but good old JD has aged far worse. Here is a picture of teh Diesel from a few years ago...

That's pretty much where I'm sitting. If we're considering Iowa "2.0" to be 2005-2011, then that string of years was pretty much all about 1 big year (2009, and the last handful of games from '08). The rest were of the seasons were either pretty forgettable, or only memorable because they were such a let down (2005, 2006, 2010).
Here's hoping v3.0 really does see recruiting pick up, and meeting (or exceeding) expectations.
