I shot a 74 today

36-38. I had two birdies and two bogeys on the front. I missed a six footer for par on the ninth that would have given me a 35 on the front, my first ever 9 hole score under par. The back had two bogeys. I three putted for par on a par five (from about 50 feet).

This run started a week ago. I shot an 81, but it was a 44-37 with 3 birdies on the back.

I might go pro, but in the meantime if anyone in CR needs a ringer for a best shot I'm your huckleberry.

nice addition.

I'm in the process of learning to golf. I got a free set of golf clubs from a friend who needed to get rid of them (he's moving out of country). I've hit the driving range a couple times. I'm much better with woods than irons so far. I'm planning on hitting the course for the first time in the next week or so. There's a course close by that's only $22, including a cart rental, for students. My goal is to go under 150 the first time I go out.

too late in the year for that, next yearbook maybe, we should work on it in march. I've spent the last month practicing nothing but 100 yards and in. I've shaved 3 shots off my index this spring. Yes minimizing the damage is important, but nothing does that quicker than getting up and down for par 8 times and and finishing with 28 putts which I did today.

True, kind of depends on your game. I've always been pretty solid from 150 in. Where I really used to struggle was losing control of driver and putting. I would regularly knock one or two OB and another couple in strange places. I changed my approach with the.driver and that really helped me. It all depends what you are and arent good at. Work on what you struggle with and you will get better.
Wow, sounds easy when you say it like that.

congrats!

I was playing so bad one time I played 3 holes using only my 7 iron. Went double, double, bogey, it took 7 putts with none longer than 10 feet. Since then I've played maybe twice in 9 years.

I just started 3 years ago and my highest round was 126. I think you'll beat 150 easily.

I set a modest goal because I golfed one time when I was 16 and shot 81 on 9 holes. Granted, I had never swung a golf club in my life before the 1st tee, but it was still a pretty rough outing.

I've only been able to golf twice this year because I had hernia surgery about a month ago. Shot a +12 (82), but was even my last 5 holes (Birdie, Par, Bogey, Par, Par). I'm hoping to pick up where I left off when I start back up next week.

Yeah but what course was it at? I shot a 58 (par 70) once at Rockwell but that course has like 4 drivable par fours and reachable par 5s.

Here is my latest GHIN update. I shot 75 Thursday and 77 yesterday. The 68 on 5-5 was from the one up tees in Men's league a few weeks back. Handicap came updated at 0.0. I would like for it to trend up for wagering purposes.
