Guys, who is in the mood for some fun? Let's guess who we get in Feb.

Iowa just offered this DE from Alabama. He was a UAB commit. Interesting prospect as he was a basketball player and this season was his first playing football.
This one is intriguing. He might be one of those guys that blows up late due to the late signing period. He already picked up a TCU offer as well.

I know Bell is down to Indiana/Purdue/PSU

But did any of them win a bowl and have a WR as bowl MVP?

David, shock the world and come to Iowa. Bro, this ain't begging, just good advice from Uncle Karras.

I messaged with Bell this morning. He said still is considering Iowa and will announce his decision at Saturday's all-American game.

It's nice to hear he's still listening to the Hawkeyes but I think the odds are long that he picks them. I still think it's Purdue.

Rob,
NOOOOOO!!!!
DO NOT GIVE ME A SLIVER OF HOPE FOR THIS.

But besides that, keep up the good work.

Rob any guesses on how many more Iowa will take in this class? There have been a few names mentioned in this thread, any others we haven’t heard about?

WHAAAATTT? He musta just wanted to be nice to you or something. Why did he cancel his visit and never reschedule it as far as anyone knows? Yeah there's no serious interest in us from him. How did he message you via text? Tweet? If he picks Iowa it'd be one of the bigger recruiting upsets/surprises I can remember

Receiver recruiting at Iowa has always been a struggle and for the life of me I can't figure out why. We have had some good QBs and the future in my estimation is bright. Is it the coaches on staff? Has Ferentz never made it a priority? Just wondering your take?

He’s visited Iowa before (I think) so maybe the visit cancellation thing is the craziest thing in the world. This is still a pipe dream though.

Rob would have to answer that I guess. I don't know if he's been to IC on an unofficial or not. I just know he canceled his official visit shortly before he was going to make it. He was always a long shot for us. PSU fired their WR coach the other day so who knows if they are still in the mix or not. It felt like Purdue had the inside track for him and with Brohm staying.....

I watched the game, as someone else said, "at least we had a hat on the table". He reached for the OSU hat and picked it up only to put it back down and then grabbed the Purdue hat and put it on his head.

He likely saw what Rondale Moore did and felt that he could compliment him next year as another true freshman starter. Seemed well-spoken but likely had a 5-star ego. And credit to RM cuz he doesn't come off like that. Anyone know if Iowa went after Moore?

Now just for fun let's take a look back at the 2018 class which will be called upon with the number of guys headed to the NFL and the transfer route.

We got a shot at DJ James. Currently committed to Miss State.
Offers include Florida, Kansas, Ole Miss, etc. Would be a nice pickup in light of the number of DBs who won't be returning.

Also Kudos to the staff for bringing in another IWCC Juco All-American with O'Hara

Visiting on the 25th I believe, along with visits to Nebby and Oregon later this month. Oregon's a long ways away though, and Nebby already has 4 DBs in this class. Thinking he could be a prime target for a late flip.

I’ve stated this is a pretty solid class, if they get DJ James I would to say this is an above average class.

The other name was Michael Lockhart who was a former basketball player who has kind of blown up as a DE. He’s an intriguing prospect I’m not sure if we have him scheduled for a visit or not yet.
