I thought I saw that Purdue signed like 25 players.. Would they even have room for him? It seems to be a forgone conclusion that he's going there but dang that's a big class. I think Michigan had 27. Or maybe it was someone else but dang I thought only the SEC was able to get away with that

Bell will be announcing at the all-American on Jan. 5. I'd be very surprised if it's not Purdue.
How many spots do they have left? Didn't they real in like 25 or more already?

No idea. They will find room for Bell.
According to 24/7, he took his official to Iowa on Dec 15th. Still think he goes to Purdue. They will find a way

That information on 247 is wrong. He did not officially visit Iowa. We reported last month that that visit was canceled. He confirmed it.

Other schools sell opportunity for playing time and a role in the offense to get good players. Pretty sad statement that Iowa can't even do that when it comes to WR.

Does everyone forget we have two WRs coming back next year that are pretty damn good? Smith and Smith-Marsette have already gone through their development period and have two years remaining. These guys are pretty good. Smith, to me needs to see more targets...he made play after play on every ball that was thrown at him. Smith-Marsette has also shown growth...and it will continue. He also got serious recognition as a return guy.
Our issue right now isn't with our WRs, our issue is with the guy throwing the ball to them. He was horribly inconsistent in the big games and he didn't do what he needed to late in the games against Wisconsin, Purdue, Penn State, and NW...I wouldn't put it on him against NW...as the two late fumbles weren't on him....but the other three games, we had many fourth quarter opps that just didn't happen.

I was thinking the same thing. Both receivers made some good strides this year from where they were last year. I have to think by Year 3 they will be further improved. Not predicting All B1G for either of them, but it's reasonable to see them providing some of the best receiver play we have seen for some time.

Go after some kids with elite offers. I liked how we closed on some fine kids in the early signing period, but a couple were low-hanging fruit. The staff also needs to go after some goodies higher up on the tree and it looks like they are doing it.

Iowa just offered this DE from Alabama. He was a UAB commit. Interesting prospect as he was a basketball player and this season was his first playing football.

Purdue has room or will find room for Bell. Trust me on this one.
He will be announcing at the All-American game in San Antonio on Jan. 5. He will be choosing between Purdue, Indiana and Penn State. So I'm guessing there will not be an Iowa hat if he even does the hat thing.
