Greg Davis to resign at end of year

Sorry guys, this guy is spreading erroneous rumors. Greg Davis to "re-sign" at the end of the year is what this thread should be titled. Remember, Kurt brings guys on one year at a time and makes them earn their keep. Greg did a helluva job and will be back.

Hearing lots of rumblings from those i know close to the program that Davis will be resigning at the end of the year. From what I've heard, he realized fairly early on that he didnt have the passion he needed to do the job.

Take it for what its worth.

Link or it didn't happen!

Unfortunately there is only a LIKE option not a LOVE one. Any news on Kirk resigning too? that seems to be the real problem here.

Rob ASH, Please!!!!! He has resurrected one of the Worst FCS programs in Montana State to one of the best (#2 right now).

he may really want the Head Job, but the increase in pay at Iowa to be an Offensive Coordinator ($600,000) vs what he probably makes now ($250,000?) might do the trick.

He was awesome at Drake. those teams were excellent at EXECUTION in 3 different offiensive sets: Power I-back. Spread passing attack and Pro-style passing game. They even did a little triple option.

Freaking Genius. For the love of God, please hire Rob Ash!!!

I heard or read that GD is only making 100,000 this year which sort of sounds like caretaker money. But why does Iowa have to be forced into hiring a caretaker?
We were not forced. We wanted a caretaker to give Brian Ferentz a year at OL coach. Brian will be OC soon. That's always been the plan. That's why you hire an old caretaker for a season. If he had worked out, he might have gotten a second season. But with the way things went this year, Kirk won't have the kind of power to build a son's career before long, so the process will be sped up.

You know, that's the offense I run on NCAA 13. Spread it out if you need to, pack it in and man up if you need to, and then pro-style passing is just kind of a thing you should probably have.

I would coach for close to $4,000 a year, aka enough to pay for tuition while simultaneously attending this great university, AND I GUARANTEE A BOWL GAME NEXT YEAR.

He felt handcuffed all year and tried that naked boot leg a few games back.KF didn't like him opening things up and said he had to go. We don't know iff he's staying or going but if we do hire the 3rd OC and the conservatism continues we know who the problem is.

What are you smoking? All of Iowas assistants combined barely clear 600. Now sure, real programs pay 500+ for coordinators, but we ain't a real program.

Sounds like a conspiracy theory to me.
