Greg Davis Still Sucks

After Wadley's Fumble Iowa ran out the 1st half clock pretty much. 1st possession of the 2nd half, Wadley was in on 3rd down......So the "purgatory" you are talking for Wadley is literally one 3 and out series to run out the clock at the end of the 1st half.

Just stop already.....or at least watch the games and have at least a little bit of a clue what you are talking about.
Why did Daniels have the ball almost twice as much as Wadley?

If Daniels fumbled in the Illinois game, why wasn't Daniels yanked for great amounts of minutes like Wadley? What was the running attempt ratio, Daniels to Wadley, in the Illinois game? Let's see, it was Wadley 13/39 rushing attempts and Daniels 26/39 rushing attempts. Reception ratio was Daniels 1/3 and Wadley 2/3. Of the 2 backs, Daniels had the ball 27/42 times and Wadley had the ball 15/42 times. Daniels had the ball almost twice as much as Wadley in the Illinois game. http://www.espn.com/college-football/player/_/id/545373/leshun-daniels-jr
Have we found another flaw with Davis' game plan? Hum?

Next question is the number of 'clanks' Daniels had as a targeted pass receiver compared to Wadley in the Illinois game?

Good Lord, you're quoting your own post. While, technically, that isn't creepy, what IS creepy is the fact--and this borders on frightening--that you are actually arguing with yourself. WTF?!

Because he was getting it done? And he's the starter?

Do you follow KF around in a van that says "The Mystery Machine" on the side? You keep saying "meddling", like the villains referencing, "You meddling kids!"
Bob, what is Daniels getting done? Stretching the field? Being a speed threat on those sweeps? Catching the pass? NOPE.

All I know is it wasn't because of a fumble. He actually had more carries AFTER he fumbled the ball. His fumble was his 5th carry. He had 8 carries in the 2nd half.
Yet Daniels had the ball almost twice as much as Wadley in the game. Another Davis defect? Letting the fullback have the ball twice as much as the tailback? Remind you of another Iowa 'tailback' who transferred from the AF? And throwing to Daniels?..Davis sure has a bad record with running backs doesn't he? Hum?

Lol....Daniels is a RB who holds the Iowa record for the 10 yard shuttle I believe, he is not and never has been a FB

They both avg. 6.2 ypc. 159 and 2 tds. let it go

159...2 TDs. 6.1 ypc. need Wadley for nebby, he was worked hard against Mich.

Dude, cmon. everyone wants Wadley getting the rock. he was the man with Mich. but why are you using the Illinois game as an example when we won 28-0 and Daniels avg 6.1, 159, 2 tds.

Dig them heels in.....

Looks be another day and we still have the reality that GD sucks at OC. Do not expect this to change at anytime so let's hope we get some good news over the off season that he will retire. Please don't hire an old washed up geezer Ferentz, please! Get a guy that is making good O with less talent than our main competitors, is what we need apparently. Kinda like we do with our D.

I see some pretty unimaginative offense at Ohio State win a lot of ballgames, and they have the talent to be able to do that. Maybe Texas at one time did as well, and this is what all the GD supporters tend to point to, the winning of National Championship. These successes depend more on the players than the coaches. At Iowa we need coaches that are talented and have the ability to pass this knowledge/execution ability and success onto the kids.

If not for two rather questionable penalty calls, he'd have 140 more yards than he currently does. He CAN run sweeps
and, oh yeah, how does any Iowa RB "stretch the field"?

His first name is Akrum and his last is Wadley. Wadley can outrun and outfake most defenders and can catch passes too. That's what's called stretching the field.

Yeah, Daniels has outrun some defenders on runs through the middle gaps when there's been, for example, 10 guys in the box. Other than that, Daniels scrums his way to yardage.

Unbelievable. The guy has gone over 1000, averages over 5 yards a carry and has, by all accounts, been a great teammate, hard worker, etc. And the results have shown in this, his first healthy/complete season. "Scrum" indeed.

And again, if not for two questionable penalties he'd have 140+ MORE yards which would add to his ypc. But in your world? KF is practically a felon, Wadley should get every carry and Greg Davis should be elevated to HC.

Put in the tailback that has the highest potential of making big plays. As a change up, let the fullback (Daniels) run some plays and block. Like most college offenses do.
