Some of you really think KF is being stubborn just to burn the fans?
LOL
sometimes that's the only rational explination

I sincerely don't know why people think KF is such a classy guy. I find him to actually be a d***. Never met him and could care less too. To me he comes across as very passive-aggressive and petulant. And yes he likes to take little and sometimes bigger jabs at his critics. Everyone remember presenting Chris Doyle with an award a few months after the rhabdo incident?
Such a snarky comment to what was a golden opportunity to praise the kid who saved his ***. He doesnt see it that way of course.
I heard the comment live and Eddie's response. Eddie is clearly in CJ's corner. Eddie's too classy to respond any other way than he did but I might have called him a little b****.
Is it passive-aggressive and petulant to make personal attacks on a website without using your real name?
Criticizing for bad decisions on- or off-the-field is one thing.
But to personally attack KF with the qualifier "I've never met him" sounds petulant and stupid, too.
It really is amazing. In years that Iowa is rolling (2002-2004 and the end of 2008- the middle of 2010) KF's responses like this are treated as witty and clever by the Iowa fan base. When things are not going as well, he is a dick or throwing guys under the bus.
KF's demeanor at pressers hasn't changed the last 16 years.

I'm not sure what specific post you're responding to, unless you're talking about Ferentz saying that CJ sucks in practice...if that's the case I agree with the other poster. Ferentz shouldn't have said that. It made me think that I was dead wrong the last decade + that I thought he was a great guy. But that's irrelevant to this. You certainly don't have to meet a public figure to know that their actions or words are not what you desire them to be. Why would you possibly think that nobody can have an opinion about somebody's actions without meeting them?
For instance, I've never met Hitler, but in my opinion he was jerk. If that's "Petulant and Stupid" to you. Too bad.
I said what I said refering to posters making personal attacks on KF while at the same time saying, "I've never met the guy" but I know he's a dick and an *** hole while hiding behind phony names is being what they claim they know KF to be.I'm not sure what specific post you're responding to, unless you're talking about Ferentz saying that CJ sucks in practice...if that's the case I agree with the other poster. Ferentz realizes that they don't keep score in practice, right?
If you have ever coached, you know exactly how wrong that statement is. I used to coach HS basketball and you "keep score" at every practice. You play the best players based on their practice performance. OK, so someone comes in and does completely opposite of their practice performance and blows the socks off the opponent. It still doesn't change their past practice performances. And since we don't see the practices, who are we to question what goes on there?

My point being maybe I am missing something because a lot of people think he is a great guy. Maybe all these people have met him and speak from ecperience.
My only contact with him is what I see on TV or hear on the radio. Based on what I see and hear a good deal of the time is someone I really don't care for.
But yes I should refrain from personal attacks and stick to my frustrations with his coaching style.
Just curious though. Do you think he owes CJB an apology for his comments?
Those rhabdo affected players for telling them to stay off social media before inquiring about their health?

I'm not following you here. Everyone is upset with his comments after things went well. We just had a great second half comeback and looked way better than we have all season.
The point is that some guys are simply better in the games than they are in practice. I can't remember which former QB people say was a bad practice QB. I want to say it was Hartlieb.
Last year, Beathard simply wasn't ready. This year, we've seen him come in and perform VERY well from the word go in both games he's seen action in. He may simply not be a great practice player, but that doesn't necessarily mean he isn't the better player.
