It would be funny if we win out and get in and the Clowns lose out and get sent to the NIT.

May,Archie, and McCabe are Lick players.there i only one Lick player and that is questionable in Gatens, with him committing as a sophamore to Alford, this is in reference to a poster on the first page, forget the RPI it is not the only thing they look at, 5th place in BT standings at 10-8, a overall record of 18-13, finishing the 2nd half 7-2, are all looked at. its nice to feel good about the big dance again, but it goes no where without a win against Illinois

Jay Williams said the game on Saturday against Northwestern could essentially be a play-in game to the NCAA Tournament.
Again, not sure I agree, but that's pretty cool to hear.
Not according to posters on CF. 80% of them are convinced that they are a lock for the NT even if they lose their last 3 regular season games (likely), and their first game in the Big 12 tourney.

So is brommer
You made up the 80% number. Not true at all. Most think we have a good chance but need one more for a lock. If ISU loses their next 4 they I'd put odds on the NIT. Obviously it depends how other teams do.
WHO CARES to even be in the conversation as an Iowa fan is unreal. I enjoy watching the games...but recently it is like watching when we were always dancing. It is just great to be relevant as a program again.
Iowa Basketball = ISU football
That may be the most ridiculous comparison ever. Not even close to being accurate. Iowa basketball is at very worst a Top 15-20 program of all time. ISU football is historically one of the worst BCS teams ever. A few years away from the norm does not change either one of these facts. http://assets.espn.go.com/photo/2009/1004/cbe1.pdfIowa Basketball = ISU football
I believe that when ESPN released that college basketball encyclopedia a couple years ago, they had us rated as the 10th most prestigious program of all time.

Well I was responding directly to the posters comment amount how they are so excited about just being talked about and yadda yadda yadda. Act like you've been there before. I wasn't comparing the history of the programs, rather the common reactions of the fanbases. So.....

I guess it's all on what you are looking for. It's all very subjective. Here is what I found when I googled "all time top basketball programs" first 6 from that page. Sargarins and Espn was one of the 6 articles.
