The problem was it was an execution. It was very poorly handled. Also in Missouri some years ago there were 2 officers killed within a short time. One was a young black guy who maintained the officer was aggressive with him and he feared for his life. When he thought the officer was going to kill him they wrested for the gun. The other was also about 19. He was in the CSA a militia group. Both were in southern Mo. The militia kid pulled out a mg gun and hit 2 officers killing one. Both were routine traffic stops. One got a chznge of venue to all white North Missouri. The other was tried in far sough MO. One was painted as a scared kid. The other a ruthless killer. kne got the death penalty. The other did not.

Locally where I live near BIG campus the difference in penalties are astronomical and well documented.
 
Let's move this thread to off topic. Great to discuss this issue, and it may have started having connection to Iowa football, but no longer.

JESUS ****ING CHRIST. HOW MANY ****ing times do I have to say I know there is a problem, and it deserves to have light spread upon it. I don't agree that you bring light to this issue by disrespecting the Anthem.

You don't listen. You just pontificate upon high, at the slightest disagreement to your point of view. I realize that asshole cops like your dad deserve to be in jail. I wished asshole cops like your dad were in jail. I hope that in the future that asshole cops like your dad do jail time.

I see now where you get your personality from, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Asshole's falling left and right from your family tree.
 
Hawkeye football players need to start taking a knee at the start of each game in protest of their coaching staff that has conceived an offensive & defensive scheme that is dead on arrival well before kickoff.

Man beaten by white supremacists in Charlottesville is arrested

"In an incident captured on video and widely shared online, a black man was beaten by several white attackers in a parking garage during August's rally by white supremacists in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Now the man, DeAndre Harris, is facing an allegation that he injured a white supremacist that day.

Harris, 20, turned himself in Thursday morning and was released on an unsecured bond after being served a warrant charging him with unlawful wounding, the Charlottesville Police Department said."

My wife who isn't really "old" went to high school in a town that was desegregating. Lot's of tension. I was shocked to learn that was still going on when we started dating.

I'll try to listen later. But if a black girl takes off her shirt and becomes white, THEN a white girl takes off her shirt and becomes another race, why focus on only part of it? It is some serious messed up thinking, and it waters down what it truly means to be racist.

About the commercial, whether or not it is also done in reverse doesn't really make it right. They knew it would be pushing things. Of course it's not a problem for someone not dealing with racial stereo types.

In the interview, Watson describes in detail being pulled over for no reason while taking him wife about to give birth to the hospital and he says he wasn't speeding. He was a large black male driving a Range Rover. A very good question the white host asks, "Tell me what I'm not understanding about this", in regard to Ferguson.

Whether you agree or not with his answer, it does provide insight.
