Dale Jones

Yeah, this is the way 'PC' people spin it for low info types.

BUT------if it were reversed, you know PC types would be
playing their race card.

That's why I don't give a d*** what color a player is...........all the same.

PC don't like that............hmmmmmmm.........

I'm not even sure what the post i quoted is saying. But weren't you the one who originally played the race card?

We have been over this before. White, Allen, Lucious, Kane, & BDJ = Thugs.

Why does ISU fan get so butthurt about being Tranfer U? That is a label given my the national media and ESPN.....
ISU fans get butthurt because they're always taking it up the ...

I think i do. When ISU gets transfers they are thugs, when Iowa does they are not. Seems pretty simple to me really.

No, you don't.

DJones went from high school to juco. He did sit out one year with an injury. His coaches rave about his attitude and loved his work ethic. DJones is not a thug.

McKay went from juco to Marquette and finally to ISU. He saw he was not going to get playing time at Marquette because there were all-Big East players ahead of him. After sitting one season and decided to move on. Seems to be an OK kid. Has not had any issues with classes or the law or other teammates or the coaching staff. McKay is not a thug.

BDJ went from USC to UNLV and finally to ISU. Both USC and UNLV have nothing good to say about him. He left both programs because he was at odds not only with the coach but with other players. He had numerous documented run-ins with the law at USC and UNLV. Guess what happened at ISU with him? Yup... same things. BDJ is a thug.

All it takes is one and your reputation is tarnished.

A JUCO kid is not a transfer.

Then why are they always referred to as "Junior College Transfers"? I've heard that phrase more times than I can count. They are transferring from one school to another, yes?

Besides, there is nothing wrong with taking on transfers. Iowa has done it plenty of times in the past, and successfully, I might add.

When comments about someone's race as it relates to performance that is clearly racist. A good player is a good player irregardless.

No, it is clearly people's way of stating that they want Iowa to be more athletic, and recruiting more black players is what it will take. But people are going to get their wish, because most of the incoming recruits are black. Apparently Fran feels the same way.

Guess our coach is a racist, then? Yes, I'm being sarcastic. So let's not brand others racist for saying we need more black players. That's just plain stupid. I really don't believe that people think before branding someone a racist.. Let's not go out of our way to make more of these comments than they really are.

For the record, I'm on board with you in that good players are good players, regardless.

We return 4 out of 5 starters. And 5 of our top 7 players. That does not make a rebuilding year... If it is considered a rebuilding year under the Fran era, I will take it!!

The only thing that will keep us down next year is the B1G being a bad conference.

Now when is Dale signing...? I hate waiting!

I assume when you say bad conference, you mean bad *** conference. There may not be a WI type juggernaut, but the middle of the pack is going to be better... Iowa could be a better team next year and still go 9 and 9 in the B1G

If Larry Bird was black he'd be just another guy, right?

Well maybe hawkeyes point is they're not the type of transfers ISU has been getting. Division I transfers are transferring usually because something didn't go as planned, where as a JUCO they went to that school full known they would want to transfer to a D-1 school eventually. ISU is doing fine in their method and they're fun to watch, but with the amount of transfer they've had I'm pretty surprised they haven't had a bad egg who was a huge distraction to the team. Fred is just pretty solid over all, from x's and o's to recruiting to player discipline. But feel he ultimately will be in the NBA and it could be as soon at next fall, especially if Thibs gets kicked out from Chicago somehow.

I agree that ISU is fun to watch. I had a blast watching them play UAB.
