Coach Woads "It's a load of crap"

Well it looks like Texas is falling apart at the seams that has a Paul Rhoads special written all over it..........If Greg Robinson runs the defense the way he did at Michigan ISU will be able to score some points granted if Sam Richardson is still healthy by mid October

If ISU takes down Texas this year they can add it to the list of monumental Rhoads upsets which includes wins over such juggernauts as a 5-7 Texas team, a 5-7 Texas Tech team, a 7-6 TCU team playing with a freshman QB starting on 3 days notice.

I can't tell you how you really feel so I won't try. Maybe beating Iowa isn't as important to you, but if that's the case then you are a RARE breed of Cyclone fan. I think you're just pretending like this is how you feel because it makes you feel better about it, and because you know there's a good chance the Cyclones are gonna get beat on Saturday therefore it will be easier to swallow.

However, if your point is to be honest then you would admit that you realize beating Iowa is very important to the majority of the ISU fanbase. Most Cyclone fans go freaking insane when they beat Iowa. If you can't admit that then you're only fooling yourself.

You are stuck in the early 2000's. Move on.

There was an ex-ISU TE from CR on the local channel last night and he flatly stated that all the crap about Iowa being ISU's "superbowl" and the incentive to beat to beat their "big brother," Iowa, was absolutely true and the game was presented by the coaches in those terms.

Not surprising, we all know it's true no matter how much Clones deny it. I mean Roads and Pollard sold the fan base on ISU's "momentum" which was obviously only based on their results compared to an Iowa program which just happened to be declining at a faster rate.

I noticed how you conveniently left out the win against #2 OSU and @Nebraksa.

Ok fine, you beat an unranked Nebraska team who lost at home 31-10 to Texas Tech the previously weekend. That win ranks up there with the Miracle on Ice and Georgetown-Villanova for greatest upsets ever.

That Nebraska team finished the year #14 in the country. That was the best Nebraska team in the past 10 years by a long shot. They choked games against VT and Texas away at the last seconds otherwise that was an 12-2 team. And we beat them without our starting QB, RB, and 1/2 the team out with the flu. You can diminish it all you want but it was a great win.

And if they didn't lose to ISU and Texas Tech, that's a 14-0 national champ! So basically you beat a team that was like 2001 Miami (Fl) combined with '05 USC all while playing your second string guys. Man, I might have to push that win past the Miracle on Ice now. Plus I've never seen a locker room video from after that game so that is now officially number one on my greatest upset ever list brah!

Biggest fluke ever, give that Iowa team last year 9 turnovers and they could have beat Nebraska..........It was no different than the '92 upset, it was an abheration.

We only needed 8 turnovers. Looks like you guys really suck if you need 9.

Obvious that someone is nervous that they will lose again to Iowa State this week and is not looking forward to another year of being the loser in the state........

I don't understand why Rhoads talks like that when he is from Ankeny. I've never heard anyone from Ankeny talk like that.

And don't people know that ISU beating OSU changed the course of history?
