Yeah I'm sure this new coach doesn't put any more emphasis on the game. The same coach who took the Cy Hawk trophy home and slept with it. Knock was just pointing out the mentality ISU has (past and present) toward the game. He didn't say they don't feel that way anymore.

And just because he played 10 years ago, doesn't mean he isn't still close to the team. His opinion holds a lot more water than yours does.
 
No matter what ISU fan thinks, Iowa VS ISU is to Hawk fan is what ISU VS UNI is to ISU fan. It is really a no win situation. Win and that is what is supposed to happen, lose and it is like losing in the Super Bowl to the other team.

Clown fan has taken to referring to UNI as "purple Iowa" lately. Is that supposed to be some kind of scathing insult to both Iowa and UNI? It's right up there with Tavern Hawk on the epic flame scale. :rolleyes:

I always loved that one. Your program is so much more popular with the populus general...and that's a bad thing. Only a clone could come up with that kind of logic. Much like constantly denying their obsession with IOWA while constantly hanging out on our message boards. Hell, we even burned them by creating the "ANF" theme, when they...are the ag school.

"Don't get it"... is putting it lightly. That's why IOWA will always be IOWA...and ISU will always be..well...

I take it as them acknowledging that UNI has a superior football program than theirs, just like Iowa.

I have never been on a cyclone message board and don't even know the names of any of them. However, you find plenty of their fans on this website. That about says it all.
 
Honestly, does anyone believe that Rhodes would say anything different? If he said that it was their Super Bowl then he would would be scrutinized for every loss other Iowa.
