CJB and Rudock Not Allow to Talk to Media

I am a fan and understand my role as a fan. I cheer;I yell; I complain. I don't think fan base websites are filled with the most logical thinkers. I read the site to smile and then I remind myself that my generation is a major part of the "need an explanation" for every decision made. Coach made a decision. It is his decision. Do I agree with it? No, but do I respect it? Yes. At the end of the day, even when Lickliter was coaching hoops I turned in and watched, cheered, yelled, complained. I love Iowa athletics. I don't think everything is all right, but I can't fix it.

Then quit acting like you deserve an explanation for all football related issues. It is a game but some people "parse" press conferences and make more out of things than need to be. Let the coaches coach and the players play. SMH

Easy to say troll because I am not racing around my neighborhood with a pitchfork to attack the coaches. This is the same coach who made the same bone headed decisions a decade earlier and those decisions were glossed over because the program was thriving. Now, people want to call him Kurt and stoop to such childish behaviors because they aren't happy. In my world, getting the opportunity to watch the games is an opportunity to sit with my family and talk the game. It is a break from the daily stresses that come with work. I am a fan. I love iowa athletics. But in the whole scope of things, it is a game.

If if they had spoke (and this isn't aimed just at Jon) what did or do you guys want them to say? That ferentz is a big meanie head? That Rudduck hates sissy guys with long hair? That the program is going down the tubes and all the fans are right? It seems that you are wanting the players to trash the program in some fashion. Is that what you want? Both CJ and Jake were getting ready to answer questions when someone on staff told them no. They didn't make the call not to talk to the media, Ferentz did. Both were prepared to talk as they are usually.

I don't believe either of them would have said anything dramatic or even interesting, and I don't necessarily want them to, either. But for ****'s sake, this is a ********* move by Ferentz. The quarterback situation was the big story coming into this game, and it was still pretty significant after it was over. Ferentz created that cluster**** of a situation, and both players seem to have had more courage than he did. He's so afraid they might say the wrong thing, better to just ship them off without answering questions.

It could have been a giant middle finger directed towards the media. However, I still don't understand why CJ left with a police officer. I don't think anyone else did that I've heard of tonight.

It was tweeted by a couple of Iowa media folks that both CJ and JR were ready, willing and able to meet with the press. But CJ, for instance, was escorted out of the locker room by Iowa security with the press being told "no questions."
