I'll express my thoughts about ferentz without regard to how it bothers you. You are the one that initiated this one. You said that I'd donate to kirk's buyout. Yep, would if I could. And I'll keep on commenting about him and Iowa football no matter how much you cry about it.

It's obvious he kept those coaches on too long. That's the point, but still I think they'd be there if he wasn't feeling the heat.

What heat? Even on this message board you can find maybe 10-20 guys calling for his head. You think that is heat?

You make changes when the staff isn't performing. No way KF makes a change because of the "heat" of a few message board guys. There is no heat coming from the fan base, and no heat coming from the media.

Listen, if KF has another year like last year, there will be heat, and it will be much different that what you think is heat on him right now. There will be questioning from the media, there will be a loss of fans at the games, and there will be a large sentiment in the fan base that KF can't get it done anymore. Sorry I'm based in reality, and those things just aren't happening right now. 10-20 message board posters is not a outcry from the fans....

I never implied nor do I believe that he feels heat from on here. I doubt he even knows this exists. I mean that he feels the heat from how bad he let the program fall. And maybe he feels some heat from the big time boosters. Barta carries no weight, but you can bet in their meetings he's brought it up to ferentz.

Now that is truly sad with as bad shape as this program is in now and has been for a few years.

We won't go 0-8 in the conference. That being said, I could easily see us winning no more than 2 or 3 conference games. I think we are looking at 5-7 ... I think the D will be okay... But the offense concerns me. Unless we can find a couple of go-to receivers the defense will be on the field a lot ...

I hope my 8-4 prediction with a bowl win comes to past. I wish nothing by the best for KF, his family, and all of us who bleed black and gold. At this point I wouldn't want to bet the farm one way or the other on what this season brings. Been a cubs fan for 48 years, may god have mercy on my soul. The stint of down football seems trivial compared to cubbyville but it is still painful.

What the hell do you mean for a few years? 3 years ago we won the orange bowl and had seasons of 8 and 7 wins. While that's not as good as we expected it isn't "awful"

You think there is a loud cry from the fan base to get rid of KF?

Of course many are dissatisfied with the state of the program (including me). I guess I just view that differently than "heat" coming from the fans. I consider heat to be like when Lick was coach, and the fans weren't showing up, and there was a ton of dissatisfaction.

Maybe we are just talking semantics. Yes, I readily admit there is growing dissatisfaction in the fan base. What I don't see is a current outcry to get rid of KF from the fan base, so I guess to me that means his seat isn't "hot". Every coach understands the seat is warm when things aren't going well.
