The above group pretty much epitomizes inexperience. The only SR of the group received his largest number of starts as a TR FR ... and really hasn't seen many starts since. Kirksey and Edwards actually do have quality reps under their belts, however, they're only now starting their 3rd year on campus ... as TR JRs. Furthermore, they have no prior experience as every-down players .... and what's more, they basically have little to no depth behind them!
Don't get me wrong, there is definitely talent on the Gopher roster. However, there is such overwhelming youth there ... I'd be shocked if they can perform at a high level from very early on. Furthermore, let us not forget that their defensive coordinator is Cosgrove ... a guy who played a significant role in Callahan getting run off from Nebraska.
