Seasons after this one before he is plucked.
I'd put it at 2.5

I think he’ll stay as long as that Purdy kid is there at QB or until he gets a big time offer whichever comes first. So far it’s really looking like he hit the jackpot getting that kid over Alabama.Seasons after this one before he is plucked.

I suppose that all depends on the future of the B12. If it looks like the B12 is going to dissolve and ISU might end up in a non P5 conf, he definitely bolts.Everyone here is going to think I'm crazy, but I think he's there for the long haul. I think he turns their football team into a consistent 7-8-9 win program, and stays there until he doesn't want do it anymore. He is going to be what Hayden Fry was to Iowa.
I'll be the first to admit that I always root for ISU except for when they play my beloved Hawkeyes. It's a state pride thing for me.
I never understood the hatred that many Iowa fans have toward ISU fans & vice versa. Both fanbases talk trash about/to each other, but don't dish it out if you can't take it. The trash talk is all in fun, and makes the rivalry more interesting IMO.

Anybody who has an Alabama offer could play right away at ISU.The Purdy kid knew he could play rigth away at ISU.

Is Campbell's specialty offense or defense. His defense is winning him games especially in that conference where if you just make a team punt or turn it over 5 times you win. ISU beat two ranked teams last year and two so far this year.
It depends on how much he is making at ISU, who comes knocking on his door, etc . Not sure if a bunch of P5 teams are a step up but most Big 10, Pac 12, and SEC teams are a step up but ACC not so sure.
How much is he making?

I could see a Dan McCarney type tenure. The caveat being that McCarney got the program rolling just as Hayden's was going into decline, and had it's peak years when Kirk was rebuilding. For three or four years there Dan didn't have much competition in Iowa City.Everyone here is going to think I'm crazy, but I think he's there for the long haul. I think he stays at ISU until the OSU job opens up...
Yeah I agree you are crazy. We live in a state with a small population base, limited D-1 talent and we compete against ISU for that talent. You can not have it both ways. A consistent ISU spells lost recruits for Iowa...period. I think he leaves this year...he doesn't view Ames as a destination, guaranteed.Everyone here is going to think I'm crazy, but I think he's there for the long haul.
