I'm calling the Holiday Bowl
Well, shit, its early out thereIt’s a little late isn’t it? You gonna leave a voice mail?
I'm hearing projections from multiple sources that this is it.Holiday
Iowa vs USC
I would be okay with that.
As long as we don't encounter the same fate as Purdue last year in that bowl game.Saw some scenario that would allow music city. That’d be awesome
LmaoIt’s a little late isn’t it? You gonna leave a voice mail?
Nearly everyone is projecting Iowa vs. USC in the Holiday, which suddenly becomes a must-win game for the program. You can't lose a bowl game to a program with a worse team who just announced that they're bringing their hated coach back for another year and thus causing a fanbase revolt. I don't care whether it says "USC" on their jerseys or not...you have to win that game.
Hey, if they want to hear "you couldn't even beat a lesser team in shambles where everyone involved with the program hates it" for a few more years, go ahead and take this game lightly. With a month to prepare, this should be a double-digit win. USC is a tire fire.Must-Win for the Program LMAO wow!

I'm still holding out hope for the Citrus against Alabama. But a Holiday Bowl bid is sure a hell of a lot better than the friggin Quick Lane or the Pinstripe.
Beating U$C in a bowl this year would be very similar to the basketball team beating UNLV in the 1988 NCAA Tournament as a sort of "revenge" from the previous year. A good win, sure, but hardly on the level of IF we would have actually beaten UNLV in 1987, or beat U$C in the 2003 Orange Bowl.
Good wins, sure, but as you note, hardly "program-defining".
Most of these kids were in diapers when that game was played. From an Iowa perspective it is all about getting 10 wins and closing the season out on a high note.
