Best Iowa dunker of all time?

1. Gerry Wright -amazing hops, almost freakish ability. Who could forget the cartwheel dunk?

1A. Thomas isn't far behind. Also unreal hops and he dunks with intention

it's a drop off after that, but

Marble, Ricky Davis, & Darryl Moore are all in the discussion. May has the gift too, and his dunks have come at great times for this team. And I do love the way Mel kinda sneaks up on it and WHAM!

Agree with Gerry Wright. If we had youtube footage of Gerry the rest of these young guys would know what we're talking about.
James Winters was a pretty good dunker too.

Man, I looked all over the net. Amazing can't even find a photo of Wright dunking in an Iowa uniform. Anyone have any ties to the U of I vault find us something!

Gerry Wright is the best dunker. I feel sorry for the young guys who didn't get to see him play.

Comparing Marble to Jordan.
Seriously think about that for a minute or two.

It wasn't Iowa fans comparing them, it was national sportswriters. You evidently don't remember Jordan before he was Air Jordan and Marble before coke.

And I go back to the mid 70's, Gerry Wright is the best I ever saw in an Iowa uniform. Marble was probably second with Davis a close 3rd, though I could see an argument for flipping them. Wright was the best though.
