No way folks. Most likely scenario this year is 8-5 (beat IL barely and win a Pinstripe-level bowl game). This is your classic "get a bonus without really accomplishing anything" year. The heat will start to come next year - Iowa State & Nebraska are improving. Which means we get two OOC automatic wins (Miami of Ohio and Middle Tennessee), and Minnesota, Illinois, and Rutgers. All of our other opponents are either better than us or trending that way. Next year will probably be the beginning of the end.

His goal is to get Brian the head coaching job. he's in it until he knows that will be likely.
He may have heart. Be a nice guy. Upstanding gentleman. But don’t think for one second he’ll do anything less than everything he can to get his son the HC position. Just look at the Bill Snyder situation at KSU. That is exactly what we’re about to go through.

Why is that u think? Because Uncle Bruce, the former Prez of the Board of Regents, who has lots of $$ and still wields power is a good person to cozy up to as Nepotistic Kirk looks to protect and advance his son's career here.
Kirk is more manipulative and conniving than many give him credit for but he is a classy guy who is misunderstood by his critics.

Sitting in lower North End Zone today - looked as full as it did for Maryland game.... Iowa has had 3 sellouts (or 4) - not sure how many empty seats it would take to start an in-house discussion. They had large season ticket drop after 2012... but then rebounded
Unfortunately Hawkeye fans are loyal and will keep filling the stands because we bleed black and gold- but a half empty stadium will be the only way that changes are going to happen. They are incredibly good people but they are going to give us heart break year after year. We will start losing recruits especially after how they have handled Fant.
