Andrew Luck or Robert Griffin III

RG3 as a Colts fan I will be very mad if they pick Luck as I think hes over-hyped. Look at the numbers Griffin put up, he is the future.

Luck is the clear cut winner for the top spot. RG3 was fun to watch in college and put Baylor football on the map but it is tough to project him in the NFL. The early mock drafts have him going to Cleveland at the #4 spot but Miami or Washington could make a play for him by trading with the Rams for the #2 draft pick. I am hoping he does not end up in Cleveland.

Griffin has bad footwork in the pocket and a low release. He holds the ball too long and does not read the defenses very well.

He is not as good as advertised if anyone would watch Balyor games they would know.

RG3 is NOT leaf. I also don't think he is Akili Smith. Then again Luck is no Tim Couch.

That being said, we will know more about these guys after their workouts. Too hard to do a real comparison of college performance because of the vast differences between the conferences.

Personally, I'd take Griffin. His upside is quite a bit higher than Luck's (which is really saying something). Luck is probably the safer pick, which is why he'll go #1. But if someone were to trade up for Griffin, someone who could afford to keep him on the bench for a couple years, then he could be a great one. Just think: a guy with his arm strength, accuracy, athleticism, and smarts holding a clipboard behind Peyton in Miami for a couple years? That's a deadly recipe for the rest of the NFL.

Luck. For many reasons but mainly one simple reason which I won't disclose. It's just stats.

That black quarterbacks have a fairly low success rate? Griffin isn't Mike Vick or Vince Young. He's a FAR better passer, and WAY smarter than both of those guys put together. He's not an athlete who plays quarterback. He's a quarterback who's an athlete.

Griffen has a higher ceiling, Luck has a higher floor.

If I were the Colts, I'd take Luck. Even though his ceiling isn't as high as Griffin's it's still plenty high and there is very little risk with him. He may not turn out to be the next Manning, but he won't be the next Leaf either.

Actually most pro scouts consider RG3 to be a far superior pocket passer.

I am not saying that this isnt true, but where did you get this information? Based on what I have read most pro scouts agree that Andrew Luck is the most NFL ready QB since John Elway. He played in a pro style offense, and against better defenses than RG3. They are similar in arm strength, luck would have an edge in accuracy (I know they had similar complete percentages, but RG3's spread O focused on short to intermediate routes), and RG3 is the better athlete. Both can be successful QBs in the NFL, but it seems like Luck would carry the least risk as his transition to the NFL would present less of a learning curve.
