Honestly, who cares what some moron thinks online. Anything public that needs to be shared imho should go through the head coach and the Iowa media department. You don't need players going rogue online. Honestly, I perceive it to be a weakness for the players to respond back to that stuff and a part of the larger problem with mental breakdowns going on throughout the year with the program in games. You have to take the high road.

I would make it a violation of team rules to get into an argument over team issues online. This is one thing I appreciate Ferentz does well with his program in keeping a tight leash on social media.

Players need to just not respond. Period. Ignorance is bliss. They will stop attacking you if you ignore them. Unfortunately people have a problem doing this. I either ignore them or give them a bit of their own medicine and putting them in their place.

OK. I work with software technology all day, email, text, smartphone, programming, facebook-some, google+ etc but I have never signed up for twitter.

On twitter cant you block another twitter account from posting to your twitter???

Grown men should step away from twitter. That may put into question if these players are grown men or not. I dont have a problem with what ive been told on here that white or Mccabe has said. However I dont think anything on twitter is doing any good for them, but hey they are in college and some of those lessons just have to be learned.

Our players us vs the fans mentality has been weird all year. Sports aren't hard. If you win, fans like you, if you lose they don't. And honestly, as an athlete or even just as an individual it really shouldn't matter who cheers for you or what people do in response to you. People should try to do things for themselves.

Even with the stupid rumors if they didn't happen just live knowing that they didn't happen and go **** some hot chicks and party a lot like every other ******* college basketball player does and stay off of Twitter. Internet conversation is for nerds like me.

Anyone surprised by this?? Not me! They really brought this on. We have seen this crap all year from Coach Fran, to the Woodbury throat slash, McCabe Tweet and the numerous times White has called the media and the fans out.

Pretty sad stuff.. If I were some of these players I would be deleting my Tweeter account.
