I don't think this season is tanked....I think there still can be a huge rally behind this. Dez basically said that there was truth to what these other players have said. Geno Stone, Jaleel Johnson.... I mean, we're talking about smart kids. Good kids.

Because you're not actually interested. The reality is black activists address crime within itself all the time. Others only seem to want to address it when we talk about crimes being committed against blacks, by uniformed officers. If you truly cared, you would be talking along with instead of at African Americans.

By the way, do you know who overwhelmingly commits the crimes against white people? White people. At almost identical rates, because crimes are carried out due to proximity, but we don’t say white-on-white crime, do we?

Blacks rob blacks. Latinos rob Latinos. Asians rob Asians. Whites rob whites, and on and on and on. But we only hear about one, making it seem as if the community itself is not concerned about crime, and nothing could be further from the truth.

The real flaw in your question is the simple fact that when a black person commits a crime against another black person, or a white person against another white person, and so forth, that person faces justice --something that happens less than 1 percent of the time when the perpetrator is a cop.

That shows ignorance dude. Asking to be anti racist rather than non racist doesn't mean what you said. You are being as bad as you are accusing the left. Being a conservative, I personally don't want to live in a world where there is no left and not just for someone to argue with. Human decency is not left or right. I just don't think you have a clue what you are really saying.
 
Can we please quit with the left/right, democrat/republican bullshit and quit making everything a political issue. How about we leave it as a social issue and not a political one. Our two party political system is far from perfect and both parties have major issues so lets put that aside and focus on the real issue rather than chest thumping over political parties.

Edit: this wasn't aimed at any specific posters just a general blanket statement.

You are going around calling people racist because of different opinions. Screw you. You don't know anything about me. I don't promote racism. Krist I'm included in one of the smallest minorities in society, 10 folds smaller than the black race. I've been discriminated against over the years. I'm objective and open minded but state things to the point. If you can't handle that, tough shit.

Yea, I apologize. I didn't start with the political angle but ended up commenting on it. I'm doing all I can to stay out of that arena because Rob has asked us to. He just gets my blood boiling like no other.

Wasn't geared in any way toward you. It just drives me nuts when all issues in this country become an opportunity to point fingers across political lines with both sides running each other through the mud. We let politics stand in the way of actually solving problems and addressing issues, because its easier to point fingers at opposite parties then it is to actually accept the fact that neither side has done much of anything to solve matters or fix things.

Republicans blame Democrats. Democrats blame Republicans. Yet republicans and democrats simply aren't getting it done. It's just one more excuse as to why things don't change.

I didn't see that. I'll have to tone it down. This whole situation is such a caricature of itself I'm finding it hard to take reactions and opinions seriously. Even the violence feels like kids who can't distinguish between reality and a video game. I guess that's what happens when you have several consecutive generations of children raising children. You finally reach a point where there are no adults in society. We've at least reached the point where the adults are a super-tiny minority.

I definitely agree. Most these issues have leaked into politics over the years because one side or the other start using it as leverage for voting. Sickening. Government should be very simple and geared to protect the people and country and to manage the economics. That is what I look at when looking at candidates. Bugs me all the social issues that are included now, all because one side wants to use as leverage.
 
Sadly the power has shifted from elected officials to the culture. Everything is now won and lost in the culture wars. Decades age there were people (like me) who said, "It might be a bad idea to get rid of fathers in our society." And of course the reaction by those who knew exactly what the result would be and how it would help them in their ambitions replied with: "sexist" "intolerant" "stupid" "old-fashion" "racist" etc. Personal attacks are what happens when people get desperate to win an argument where the facts aren't on their side.

I think the problem lies too much in the fact that more effort goes into the argument regarding why there is a problem then finding a solution.
