3 Questions for Mr. Howe

I honestly am not threatened and I support most if not ALL of our Hawks. In spite of my scathing comments, I love our Hawks. The issue is why wasn't this brought out by ex Hawks when this was happening??
Do I believe change is needed absolutely?! But making threats about a movement when we dont have all the facts?? Was that not a threat by him? I have had kids to U OFI, I have been a donor, season ticket holder and a Hawk fan for over 40 years. This whole situation is troubling. The destruction of Nile Kinnick statue is troubling and now some writer from the Gazette is suggesting renaming Kinnick Stadium. Anyone else seeing a pattern?

In all things, you need opportunity, leverage, a catalyst and power. 18-21 year old kids/men individually have very little, and aren't going to risk what they have.... The former players who started the discussion now had the power, leverage, reach, voice,, platform to effect the discussion....and the videoed atrocity in Minneapolis provided the opportunity and catalyst. It opened the door for others with less leverage to also speak.

The vandalism of Kinnicks statue is idiotic and ignorant, it was needless and counter to the message, much like most of the rioting, violence, and vandalism.

The idea of renaming Kinnick stadium is not a new one, the idea to have Duke Slaters name involved was posed originally... but was voted against to "not alienate a certain segment of Iowa fans". They don't really elaborate on who that "segment" was....

That's where voice vs a post means the most in communication.....was I out of line in some of my other posts...probably. But until people understand why I have those kind of emotions than I understand why people may think I am racist. I truly am not
