Vandenberg is extremely smart, that is probably what sets him apart, even more so than his arm. I don't think Iowa has had a QB with a full understanding of coverages and how to counter them more than Vandenberg, at least not in the Ferentz era.

Fred Russell wasn't that fast, but lightening quick. Canzeri is more of a one cut and gone guy, while fred was a dance around and make people miss guy. Totally different styles. Jordan is much more comparable to Sims, but most like Wegher, but with more speed.

JVB can make all the throws, but not accurately from what I have seen. Stanzi has some intangibles that I'm not sure JVB has. Stanzi is a much better scrambler and throws better off play action than JVB. Those are two important factors for an Iowa QB. For me, I am really unimpressed...

People should get 25% of their ticket price returned if they call the game.
