    Does Ferentz HATE Dantonio?

Found this on some Sparty website. In Iowa City, there lives a man. His name is Kirk Ferentz and he is the Head Coach of the Iowa Hawkeyes. After four years of watching this man in relation to our coach Mark Dantonio I have come to an indisputable conclusion. Kirk Ferentz's purpose in life is...

Rank WRs in the Big 10 for potential at the next level

That's a good call on Posey. I forgot about him

Rank WRs in the Big 10 for potential at the next level

These are completely based on the eye test. I haven't analyzed numbers nor do I watch all these guys on a regular basis. 1) BJ Cunningham Has the ability to be a #2, possibly #1 WR for an NFL team someday. 2) Marvin McNutt I don't know if he's got the potential as a #1 option but he...

    Prater, whatever you do...

I noticed this during the Minnesota game also. He called out Prater on several occassions when it seemed like he wasn't completely sure who's fault the blown coverage was. Very well could have been Prater's fault, I don't know. But it definitely seemed like Eddie doesn't particularly care for Prater

    Nice win....but,

This is it. I must have uttered at least 10 times today: Thankgod Denard is such a terrible passer

    Fat Cats?

How do you know this? I've always countered this argument to people that it starts at the top.

Who saw the guy run on the field today?

1, he was darn close to the 50. I was on that side of the field and saw it. 2, again if you're brave/stupid enough to run onto the field I would think you'd want to make the most of it regardless of consequences. But that's just me.

Who saw the guy run on the field today?

Funny only because of the way he surrendered to the trooper that finally came out on to the field after him, and because I'd never seen this in real life before. For those who weren't there a random dude in jeans and a tshirt came jetting out from the north end zone and made it all the way...

Miller: Do You Play McCall Again in 2011?

This has been mentioned in other threads but I'd like to see Deandre Johnson tote the rock some more this weekend. Finally see what he can do. In limited action he has shown some nifty footwork. Johnson could be a nice compliment to Coker also, if he can get some more in-game experience

You love the Hawkeyes..but what's your story?

Interesting how many on this thread became Hawk fans due to the basketball program. I grew up watching Kenyon Murray, Andre Wooldridge, Acie Earl, and others during that decade. My family didn't really have any allegiance to one school, so it was due to the players, coach, and style of...

Had to post this..very good perspective

The intelligent posters on this site are not calling for Ferentz's head. It does come down to execution. Which was definitely lacking against Penn St. And this guy is correct that most programs are cyclical. I've accepted this is going to be a down year. Without the miracle against Pitt, Iowa...

    Bears got hosed!

Bears did get hosed on that punt return. This is from a Packer fan. Unless there was obvious holding somewhere that FOX couldn't find on video. However as alluded to by the Bears fan in this thread their offense was inept for most of the game. Additionally the Bears would have had to recover...

    Iowa will win tomorrow

This. TCU only led La-Monroe 21-17 at the half last week before pulling away in the 3rd, in large part thanks to a kick-off return for a touchdown to swing momentum clearly w/ TCU (who are ranked 20th in the country btw). In the first quarter of that game La-Monroe racked up 189 yards of...

    Another fantasy football question

This. If there is seriously no other option, go Chicago. The game is in the windy city where Chicago generally plays much better. I think they beat GB 20-17 or something like that last year in Chitown.

Iowa is NOT Going to go Spread Crazy

Fine. Traditional ball control offenses will be a thing of the past. If Iowa dominated ball control using a NE type offense, that would be perfectly fine by me. And you know what, I think they actually could with this QB and the receivers at his disposal

Iowa is NOT Going to go Spread Crazy

Unfortunately this is correct. And the Iowa coaching staff will continue to let the game pass them by. Ball control offenses are going to completely be a thing of the past in the next 5-10 years. Just look at the NFL. The best teams are the ones who run mainly out of a spread offense. A majority...
