I don't think the problem is with the assistants. This is a coaching problem for better and worse.

I want to see the rest of the starting 5 play defense like they might foul out before the end of the game. Even the great offense couldn't make up for the awful 3 point defense. Another game where the bench brought the team back and the starters lost it (well most of them).

Couldn't agree more with this thread. The slide started when Fran decided to try to run the starters for 40 minutes each and everyone started looking for just two guys to shoot the ball. Besides shooters we need guys who will play tighter D too and foul when needed. This team could be good again.

I blame Fran for not noticing that his starting 5 is good at starting halves hot and then losing leads. The score in these last two games, possibly the last 6, got closer and leads extended with less than 5 starters on the floor once the opposing team's defense settled in each half. Maybe...

Pretty sure that was Drew Tate's last season on the road at Ohio St. There was a series well into the game where we finally made it past the 50 and then proceeded to get delay of game penalties on 2 of 3 plays. This happened even though we took a timeout or two and still couldn't get the play...

I think woodbury's fouls are at least part due to how he leans into the shooter and braces for impact even when he has position. He makes a 'C' when he needs to make an 'I'.
