Xavier Foster Announcement

He quit basketball after realizing the team he hitched his horse to next year is pathetic and prolly losing its only decent player after this season. Heard he is now hoping for a ping pong scholly somewhere
It will really be interesting to see what happens if Prohm walks the plank.

I don't see that happening however. It will take more than one bad season/NCAA miss.

Brayden Dailey update:

Brayden is a lynchpin in an offense that averages close to ninety points per game.. His offensive game is very comparable to Patrick McCaffery's. He has nice footwork in the post, can hit from mid-range and the baseline, has three point range, a nice euro step, and a knack for hitting running floaters. He can run the floor, fill the lane, and is an above average passer.

The defense, and lack of effort on defense, is what keeps him from being a big time prospect and not much has changed there. He is a lazy on ball defender who has the potential to create havoc in passing lanes but would rather save his energy for the other end. Again, in Cuba City's maximum tempo system he can get away with it-for now.

There have been no issues with his attitude or the old man. There's talent around him and coming up behind him. The only losses the program has suffered this year were two occasions where freshmen played the entire second half of two JV games. That is motivation enough to walk a fine line.

Brayden still needs to get stronger as well. While he would get abused in the B1G he could be a nice mid major player for someone. It's doubtful the defensive light bulb will ever turn on for him and he plays for a coach that doesn't exactly stress defense.

How does this relate to Foster?

He is a high school basketball player who is/was being recruited/looked at by the Hawkeyes

I don't know if Iowa is still recruiting him and probably would prefer they don't, and I see every game he plays.

If he would play defense, he would be Joe Wiescamp, but be doesn't and he won't.

His coach has never stressed defense either, which may go a long way toward explaining why he has over 950 career wins and only three state championships.

Meanwhile our recently retired girls coach in roughly 30 years coached NINE state championships. Want to take a guess as to what he felt was important?
