Think whatever you want. Does not matter to me.
I'm confused. I think we agree that KFz leaves on his terms...Beth is not going to "fire" him. Right?

You suggest that Beth (and ancillary players) have someone on their radar. So KFz must be in the know right? If "the guy" says Yes... they're not going to blind side KFz and say "Hey, we found a guy we would like to take over. You wanna step down?"

KFz has to be in the loop in your scenario.

That’s not what Fryowa is saying. He is saying this is a decision independent of Kirk. There is a specific mystery candidate. Fryowa’s best guess, based on his intel from multiple sources, is that it’s 90% plus odds that this mystery candidate will be coaching Iowa next season. He won’t tell us who, but he knows the identity.

Urban Meyer. He's always respected KF and Iowa and he knows Iowa has a loooooong leash for coaches. Less stress.

Some people won't appreciate the job Ferentz has done until after he's gone. I hope whoever does follow Ferentz can find a way to keep Iowa competitive, a few bad moves and Iowa could quickly go back to being an after thought like it was before Fry got here.
Iowa is closer to Purdue than they are to Ohio St.
