Would you rather lose like Iowa did or like UNI did

This isn't a very strong response to PC's rebuttal...short on facts and substance.

No it wasn't. UNI set a new bar for blowing leads. Iowa did something that's done all the time. I do agree with him that it shouldn't have happened tho.

No it should not happen but it does to pretty much everyone on occasion. But I would still be losing sleep if it cost us the Sweet 16.

No, a 30 something deficit at halftime isn't something that's done all the time in the tourney to an upper division power 5 conference time. Maybe a 1 v 16. 20 something point losses, yes, but not that. Nova could have named the score.

Iowa got beat...dominated...by a better team. UNI had 5/6 players that played well as a team and beat an athletic team that wasn't a great team. The concept of team involves starters and bench. After the knee injury and a pt guard with 4 fouls, UNI ran out of players. That is what happened. I found it amazing that TAMU didn't press hard for more of the game.

I would much rather have lost like UNI. Knowing I was in the game and lost in the last few seconds as an underdog than to get blown out and feel like I didn't even deserve to be there.

What? This is from somebody who couldn't even find Iowa's pro day on the internet. Nobody in the history of college basketball has ever lost being up by twelve with forty-four seconds left in the game. You'd rather be associated with the biggest choke job in history. Obviously, you never played any type of athletics at a very high level. Oh yeah, I wish I was in the game & just threw it away. People will be laughing at UNI long after we're dead.

We were talking about Iowa blowing a lead to ISU. Try to keep up. Also teams have name the score nights in the tourney all the time. The final score doesn't normally reflect it tho, just like the Iowa Villanova final score didn't reflect a name the score night.

Nobody outside of Iowa remembers we lost by 19 points in the last two years in the NCAA 2nd round.

Everybody however will keep hearing for years about the "melt down." Decades.

What's the argument again?

Exactly!

What is the difference between a porn star & UNI? A porn star doesn't choke on the big one.

You must enjoy having Iowa the butt of everyone's jokes in college basketball.

That sure is a leap. Not over Nova yet after all? 30 something at half? UNI ran out of players. Iowa ran out of something more disturbing.

UNI with a very limited roster wasn't going any deeper. No one was going to remember they were even sweet. Now a household name, Heck ISU spends big bucks getting their name out on Spotify. UNI has Lebron as a spokesman for free.

No doubt our loss was more painful, embarrassing, etc.
But we're in a good position to reload for next year. In terms of our identity as a team, we're good. But yes that was painful. Painful to watch an inept team against OK. We could have done better.
There was a movie a few years back with Jack as a cop after a child molester. He was sure he was on his trail and retired so he could pursue his hunch. Then just as he was going to catch the guy, the guy was in an accident and killed and Jack goes nuts thinking his hunch must have been wrong...

How in the heck do you draw the conclusion I'm not over the Nova loss? I was over it by halftime.

What did IOWA run out of that is more disturbing? Iowa got their butts kicked by a better team.

You seem insulting about it and can't let it go. A whooping is a 15 to 20 point loss. Iowa was demolished. It wasn't just about a hot shooting team and a cold team. Possessions were painful. That is unusual for a P5 conference team to get beat like that. ISU last night was at the point of being run off the floor, but they kept in it. Still was a clear whooping. Iowa's loss was something else.

If someone else has another opinion, let it go if you really have let it go.

That's weird because I didn't even mention Villanova in the quote you responded to, you brought it up not me.

Nobody outside of our fan base (or haters) are talking about Iowa's loss to Villanova yet the UNI loss to TAMU will be brought up over and over well into the future. It was the biggest collapse with under a minute to play in tournament history. Why anyone would prefer that over the butt kicking is mind blowing.
