Would you rather lose like Iowa did or like UNI did

Iowa. Definitely. Got beat by a team on a mission.

UNI. Wow. That was more than a piddle down the leg. That was cow pizzing on a flat rock down the leg.

What I don't understand is that if Bohannon was Healthy enough to come back in the game in OT why wasn't he healthy enough to in-bound the ball st the end of regulation. Jacobsen planning for next game instead of triple zero-ing this one?

yeah I didn't get that either only thing I can figure is Bohannon shouldn't have been out there but saw his career slipping away from him. He could barely jog in OT

The way we did for sure. We have been in UNI's shoes SO many times over the yrs/decades. I told a buddy that loss by UNI was something I ONLY thought an IOWA team would be capable of pulling off.

I thought the same thing on Bohannon. All he had to do was stand. he didn't need to move and he would have been better than lohaus. Literally only took 1 inbounds pass with a foul and game was over.

12 pts with 44 secs left?

Yeah that's a nightmare that doesn't go away.

At half time of our game I had pretty much gotten over it...
In that respect, Iowa getting run out of the gym was a lot like Iowa getting run off the football field by Stanford. By half, I also was over both games.

So you're asking if I'd like to get raped in prison or make out with some hot chick, only to find out if she's a guy? I think I'll be a Drake fan and die a virgin.

I'd rather get blown out than lose the way UNI did. Like someone else said I was over the Hawks loss by halftime.

Maybe Ben should've watched our out of bounds play against Temple. Did UNI just forget how to play the game. How many times did Ben signal back and forth, like you can run the baseline. Complete choke, players were frozen. Would not want to lose the way they did.

Lot of A&M fans must have felt that way considering the exodus with a couple minutes left. Now, those folks were the real losers!

Gazette said biggest comeback in 1 minute in college basketball history! Washpun said A&M made some great plays. He needs to watch the tape. His last turnover was epic, especially by a senior. His shot selection (2-11) was terrible. He was money on FTs. Pure panic, trying to bounce ball off of opposition twice and failing, giving up 2 layups.

Insert inappropriate homophobe comment about option to be cyclone fan here.

Technically, Drake isn't a virgin. They did lose on a last second shot in the tournament in '05. In other words, they went all the way on Prom night.:)

I felt sick watching that UNI game just as a fan of the state of Iowa, I can't believe what hardcore UNI fans must have felt like. I would rather lose 100-0 than have to experience what UNI did.

Those poor fans are going to wake up on some random Tuesday in July a decade from now in a cold sweat with memories of that game crawling around their mind.

It is sad but that's how the cookie crumbles buddy! **** I wish Iowa had Gotten to play Xavier in St Louis! Iowa played in Villanova back yard and #7 seed Wisconsin Played #2 Xavier on level playing field both Universities 350 miles to St Louis..
yes, the location was the reason they lost...

I would prefer getting blown out.. UNI going to struggle to forget this one up 12 with 44 seconds to play and lose, no thanks!!

I was going to have to say I'd rather be competitive than get embarassed... But that is brutal. Yeah, think the blowout loss would be easier to swallow than THAT.

Just got back from vacation was able to watch Iowa in airport. All I can say is we played like crap.Your supposed to be playing your best ball at the end of season,we didn't.UNI at least improved like most teams do and played their best ball in the tournament.Gessell's comment that we didn't come out with the intensity we needed is ridiculous,if you can't get excited for playing on the biggest stage of the game you love then you're playing the wrong SPORT.

Iowa got beat & UNI lost the game. There is a difference. As an athlete it is far worse to lose a game than get beat. Yesterday, Villanova was the far better team. UNI threw the game away.

The excruciating thing about that meltdown was that it kept going on and on and on and on. It was like watching a baby seal get clubbed with a bag full of bars of soap.
