Women's Basketball Senior Day Content

Man I wish they could have taken care of Indiana, it cost them a share of the Big Ten regular season title. Probably the best chance they will get to win a Big Ten title for a long time.

So, I go out and provide a bunch of women’s basketball content from senior day and you call me out for not doing my job?

If I were to remove insults and negativity from this board, there would no longer be a board. That’s what fuels this engine.

Take the positive when it comes and enjoy it.

what irks me is that there are some posters on here who are big supporters of the women's team and they are attacked and made fun of from other posters for this. Kind of sad in my opinion.

Understood. Again, it’s the nature of this board. Posters pick at each other like buzzards at a carcass. The people that do like women’s basketball do a good job of ignoring it.

Your board is going to shrink some more. After all for the men's thread you had about 6 posters carrying that thread. It's not much fun around here anymore. I can ignore but it's pretty tasteless for allowing it to happen. It's ok to post about men's basketball and football. Anything else you get crucified. What fun. Can't wait to be harassed about this.

I am the only moderator and produce the vast majority of the content for a pretty large Hawkeye fan site. Sorry if you're not pleased with the job I'm doing. The good thing for you is there are other message boards you can visit if you don't like it here.

I don't have the time to do all that I do and break up fights and arguments between everybody on here. That's not tasteless. That's my life.

lol...Rob puts some womens content on the site and winds up getting blasted.

Some of you have openly complained about the lack of content on here and think womens basketball deserves it's own sub-forum. This isn't the way to accomplish that.
 
I’m not going to punish the team for a poster or two with unreasonable expectations of this site. I’m proud of the work we do here.

If the women host the NCAAs and we decide not to invest in traveling with the men, I will be at Carver to cover the women.

is there anyway you could make a forum for the Iowa Baseball team? They are doing pretty well under the new coaching staff and someone on here recently created a thread for the baseball team on the basketball site. Also, what about a thread for ALL Iowa women's sports? That way fans on this site who support Iowa female athletics can create threads not on the men's forums.

Is it hard and pain tasking long to create a new forum?

Nobody is disrespecting female student athletes. You have been asked nicely, on numerous occasions, to make it clear in your thread titles that you are starting a thread for a women's game. It's confusing some people. You won't do it. You have also been asked nicely to stop blaming the officials for every loss or even every missed shot. You won't do that either.

Well, you are just wrong about that. People have come on here and repeatedly made fun of the athletic ability of female athletes. When you compare them to "Junior High or Middle School" boys that is making fun of them. Rob has defended people's right to have different opinions - for example the quality of officiating. When posters come on here and cast aspersions on other posters by name in threads they have not participated in, may be crossing the line. To suggest that folks are sniffing glue, by name in a thread they haven't posted in seems to me to mean spirited. Finally if you are confused about who we are playing or what names belong to the men and what names belong to the women, my feeling is you are not much of a fan. I've never been confused about whether a thread was about the men or the women.
