Wisconsin to get another transfer QB

The kid had decent numbers last year...definitely a boost for a Badger team who was headed for a ho-hum season..just like they were last year until Russell Wilson came along.

to get him for two years would be a huge boon for them...he may not fly as high as Wilson did, but it probably helps the Badgers stay at the 9 win plateau at a minimum.

The easiest way for coaches to stop this is to refuse to grant a release. Most schools wouldn't invest two years of scholarship for a one year player.

I'm guessing his line of thinking is, why go to Wisconsin as a freshman when they are just going to recruit a high profile transfer QB to play in front of you. It makes sense and I would tend to agree with him.

Be better than the other player and you play.

Not for Obrien's sake as Im sure hes a nice kid, but for Wisconsin and Bret Bielema I hope he blows his knee out in fall camp. There, I said it out loud

His numbers last year were terrible. 1648 yards, 56% completions, 7 touchdowns to 10 interceptions. Those numbers against the vaunted ACC? Not a very good player. He lost his starting job. He did have a very good 1st year but I think coaches figured out how to defend him.

I only saw him play against Miami in the beginning of the season last year (they won), and he looked very, very good. Was shocked to hear that they ended up benching him later in the year, but the MD program was in a general state of disarray last year so perhaps that explains it.

Didn't Maryland just lose a QB a couple of months ago, too? That kid that Edsall tried to block from transferring? Keep this up and Maryland won't even be able to field a team next year.
