Sorry. Wisconsin has more talent.
Who's to be blamed for the more talent at Wisky? Is it recruiting? The states of Wisconsin and Iowa produce about the same number of high quality, high school athletes.

Where is Wisky's advantage in talent? QB? No. Running back? I'd say no. Cornerbacks? Slight edge to Wisky.
Linebackers? Different systems but I'd say it's a tossup. WRs? Until this season, that was also a tossup. DLine? Huge advantage to Wisky. Offensive line? Huge advantage to Wisky, IMO.

Wait a minute there is no Wisconsin St. and they do have 2 million more people to choose from. That is the counter argument that is coming........You can go ahead and thank me in advance for letting you know. :)

Still. The states of Iowa and Wisconsin produce about the same number of high-star athletes.

Meaning both Iowa and Wisconsin need to go out of state to get the high star, high quality high school athlete.

KF apologists will say it is a reason. KF haters will say it is an excuse. I am in the middle with a dumb look on my face.:)

The little ole' Iowa excuse for bad recruiting is BS.
If you have the program, they will come. To Okie State, to Boise State, not to Miami, until recently,...etc.

Yep. Last I checked we are allotted the same number of scholarships as Wisconsin. This population base excuse is BS.

In 2015-16 our recruiting budget ranked 12th in the conference. Spending doesn't always equate success (Wisconsin was behind us in 13th place) but we probably shouldn't be 12th and my guess is with Bell's influence that number will rise.

Because my hunch is KF would be more than happy with half our team coming from within a 30-mile radius of Iowa City. Oh the potential for good stories.

Yes. Yes they are. Given what we've seen the past several years, Iowa and Purdue are much closer than Iowa and Wisconsin.

Better coach? I have to go with Kirk...Hayden had all those NICE facilties, an AD who would bow to his every whim, and an awesome mustache! No-brainer really.
