Wisconsin is a much better program right now from the top down and if you think otherwise you are a huge homer. Wisconsin is reload program right now...not a rebuild. Iowa is a rebuild program.
Next year, next year......Wisconsin is deeper than Iowa...period. Think about all the injuries they have had on defense this year. I think they have lost three linebackers at some point this year...their leading receiver...and a DB too. This is the difference IMO between the two programs. We lose players and there is a noticeable drop off and other teams attack the weakness (think OL this year). Wisconsin's depth is light years ahead of Iowa.
Let's face it, they recruit skill players better too, especially at WR. There wasn't much separation in those one on one match-ups when Miami played man, but Wisky's receivers made the play when the ball got there. How many times did you see our group do that this year? Not enough is the answer.
If there is hope...I think we have recruited much better over the last few years and the depth is certainly getting better pretty much everywhere. There were some key recruits, Nixon and Shannon at DT, for example, that should bode well for the DL over the next few years. I have to say I feel better about every position group after the last two recruiting classes.

You already owned up to being a stalker, no need to provide more proof. ^^Since you stalk all, might as well have one to call your own
It is funny though how hard you try on this site though, you did the same at the Scout Board..

Is that really even a debate at this point?2017 Wisconsin >>>> 2015 Iowa
Just as a comparison, can anybody tell me the last Iowa win away from Kinnick that was as impressive as Wisconsin over #10 Miami, in the Orange Bowl (Miami's home stadium)?Just to be clear, Wisconsin is ahead of Iowa as a program but a win over a decent Miami team is not what it used to mean. All 4 of the CFP teams are substantially better than Wisconsin.
We really have no way of knowing this.Just to be clear, Wisconsin is ahead of Iowa as a program but a win over a decent Miami team is not what it used to mean. All 4 of the CFP teams are substantially better than Wisconsin.
Iowa has been a rebuild type of program the last 40+ years.. Look at the ebb and flows and not sure that will change. Be nice if we could hold on to the consistency for a longer period of time..
You can’t make this argument when we are playing in the same division as Wisconsin.Iowa and Northwestern just don't recruit well enough to maintain consistency.
But can you imagine the KF outrage on these forums if Iowa lost 3 straight rose bowls like Wisconsin did? Yet everyone here wishes Iowa was equal to Wisconsin. It's a great conundrum

Well, I'd settle for 10, 11 and 13 wins the past three seasons instead of 12, 8 and 8. See, they have 6 more wins than us over the last 3 seasons; that's 2 more wins per season. Interesting that if we'd won the games we should have this season (jNW, MSU and PU) and lost the games we should have (OSU) we'd have 2 more wins this season. Oh, and that would be 10 wins. Interesting thought.
I hate to break it to you, but Northwestern and Michigan State have been as good as Iowa over the span of the last three years. Both of them have had two very good years and one clunker. Iowa had one very good year and two middling years.

Next year, next year......
The mantra of Iowa football.
I’d have to think Adrian Clayborn vs. Penn State at the Beav.

My post was more directed at the 20% of posters who will never be happy no matter what Iowa does.
