Wisconsin game is the only game that matters in 2018

IMO, Wisconsin's O is going to be 2017 on steroids. We had a couple of our OL walking wounded most of the season and still did OK by Badger standards. Our D has been downplayed by some due to the losses we suffered. However, Wisconsin traditionally subs regularly AND changes it's on-field packages. There's a lot of guys with a lot of experience with talent to reload. The issue will be in the defensive backfield where there isn't a whole lot of game time experience.

It's not Ferentz's type of game but I expect Iowa to be running as many pass plays as it does run.

Wisconsin takes the Iowa game very, very seriously. It knows that it will be a tough game that they are going to have to slug it out in the trenches against. Each player knows he needs to be position sound on every play for the team to be a success against Iowa and he knows that Iowa is most likely the competition in the West.

As good as Iowa tends to be in the trenches, Wisconsin has been a little better on both sides of the ball. Offensively, our running game has been generally stronger. The pass game hasn't always been good for either team over the last few years.

The biggest difference has been on the defensive side of the ball where our D has pretty much stuffed the Iowa O.
Given that they have made it clear they want to go to the big dance, they will come in ready to play.
Foot on the gas boys, beat them and don't let up, because everyone after that game is going to be out to spoil your chances.
We need a really good summer and fall practices!!
